【教材分析】
本模块作为初中教材的第一课,具有衔接和导入的作用。由于是刚刚开学,第一模块采用了“自我介绍”这一话题。本模块并没有增设太多新的句型和语法,而是以一般现在时(S+be)为主。教材设计的话题是个人信息,运用任务是向新同学介绍自己已结识的新朋友,相应的功能是为结识新朋友而进行自我介绍,学习的重点是介绍姓名、年龄、来自何地,并借此导入China, Chinese, America, American, England, English等单词。在Around the world中,介绍了英美国家姓名的表达方式与我国的不同。
Unit 1 Nice to meet you.
【单元内容分析】
Unit 1 重点为学生呈现了七年级四班的李老师和新同学见面时的对话。李老师首先作了自我介绍,然后逐一询问了新同学的个人情况,包括姓名、年龄及家乡。因为班里有来自不同国家的学生,所以对话中介绍了不同的国籍。为了与人物的身份相符,教材录音中贝蒂采用美式发音,托尼和其他人物采用英式发音。将英式发音和美式发音同时呈现给学生,可以让学生初步感受和了解语音的多样性。

Step 1 Lead-in
The teacher show the PPT and play a short flash, the students enjoy the song.
Play a guessing game "Brainstorm" by asking the students "What's it?"
Then show the useful sentences by introducing myself.

Ask the students to introduce themselves in groups by using these sentences:
What's your name? Where are you from?
How old are you? Which class are you in?

Step 2 New words
1. 朗读单词Words: Chinese, from, where, year, about, What about…?, Ms, America, not, England, hi, American, our, grade, he, China注意单词中每个音节的发音和字母组合。培养学生自主学习词汇的习惯,促使学生迅速进入学习状态。
2. [检查词汇预习]:采取结对、小组互查等形式来检查学生对词汇的预习情况。

Play the recording in activity 1 and ask the students to listen and check how many people speak.
Play it again and ask the students to check the words they hear.
Check the answers with the whole students.
Step 4 Listening and reading
Play the recording in activity 3 and ask the students to listen and answer the questions. Then check the answers.

英语中,当想知道对方叫什么名字时,可用句型"What’s your name?"进行询问,其答语一般用"My name is + 姓名."。如:

2. 【课本原句】Nice to meet you . 很高兴见到你!
这是两位初次见面相识后的用语,意思是“见到你很高兴。”见面相识可由自我介绍,第三者介绍或者询问相识。例如:

—Nice to meet you, Xiao Li.
—Nice to meet you, too, Xiao Hua.
3. 【课本原句】 Where are you from? 你来自哪里?
【解析】 (1) 这是一个由where引导的特殊疑问句,“Where is / are +主语+from?”句型用于询问“某人来自哪儿”或“某人是哪里人”。
(2) be from表示“来自,从……来”。如:
She is from China. 她来自中国。
拓展: come from与be from意思相同,也表示“来自,从……来”。如:
She is from America.=She comes from America. 她来自美国。
4. 【课本原句】I’m thirteen years old. 我13岁。
…years old,表示“……岁”。有时候years old 可以省略,只用数字来表达年龄即可。如:Her dog is three. 她的小狗3岁。
拓展:对该句型提问可用:How old ...?它是英语中一个较重要的句型,主要用来询问某 人的年龄,其答语通常用"主语+ am / is / are + 年龄."。如:
—How old are you? 你多大了?
—I am thirteen (years old).我十三岁。
5.【课本原句】 Hello, what about you? 你好,那你呢?
【解析】 “What about ...?”意为“……怎么样?”,常用来询问他人的情况、征求意见或提出建议。其用法如下:
What about 后接名称或代词,代词要用宾格形式。如:
Daming is Chinese. What about her? 大明是中国人,她呢?
What about 后接动词时,要用V-ing形式。如:
What about going swimming? 去游泳怎么样?
拓展: 提出建议的方式,除了What about ...?之外,还有
Let’s ..., 并且两者之间可以互换。如:

family name 姓 = last name 教名
与中国习惯不同,大多数英语姓名有三个名字:教名,中间名和姓。他们的姓放在最后。(中间名一般很少用)如果你要称呼别人为……先生,夫人,小姐时,只能在family name也就是last name前加上Mr, Mrs, Miss,如上面的这个名字,你只能称他为Mr. Green,而不能称他为Mr. James。

For example, Jim Allan Green. Green is family name. Chinese names are different. Now read and find the difference in Around the world.
Step 5: Module task
Look at the screen. Introduce yourself. Ask and answer with a partner. Then report their result in front of the whole class.
Step 6: Do exercises
Do the exercises in the PPT. The teacher checks the answers.

注意:am not一般不缩写。Language practice含be动词的一般现在时肯定句变否定句时在be后直接加not ,变一般疑问句时把be提至句首。单数名词用is,复数名词都用are。
变否定更容易,be后not加上去。
变疑问,往前提,句末问号莫忘记。
还有一项要清楚,句首大写要牢记。Language practice(二)人称代词和形容词性物主代词 人称代词分为主格、宾格两种形式。
主语用主格,宾语用宾格。Language practice 形容词性物主代词是物主代词的一种,置于名词前,起修饰作用,表示“某人的”。Language practice 形容词性物主代词相当于形容词,在句中只能用作定语,后面必须跟名词。
eg:Is that your bike?
那是你的自行车吗? 如果名词前用了形容词性物主代词,就不能再用冠词 (a,an,the)、指示 代词 (this,that,these,those)等修饰词了。

这是他的书桌。Language practice与形容词一起修饰名词时,形容词性物主代词要放在形容词的前面。

他们的中国朋友们汉语中经常会出现“我妈妈”,“你们老师”等语言现象,虽然代词用的是“我”、“你们”,但实际意义仍是“我的”、“你们的”,所以在翻译为英语时,注意要用形容词性物主代词“my”,“your”。Language practiceit's与its读音相同,he's与his读音相同,但使用时需注意它们的区别 (it's和he's分别是it is和he is的缩略形式,但its 和his 却是形容词性物主代词) 。
