Lesson 23
This is the second lesson in this unit. It will be introduced through learning of the words fish, duck and swim.. Children will be able to grasp the meaning of the verbs by asking which animals can swim?

Step 1. Greetings and warm-up activities
From the students' personal life experience, the word swim in this topic is introduced.
T: Good morning, boys and girls. Do you like swim?
Step 2. Words and phrases learning
Learn words fish, duck and swim.
Step 3. Watch the cartoon and answer the questions
The images of the animal swimming are shown through cartoons and recordings. Then, listen to the tape and read after it.——Who can swim？
——Fish can swim.
——Ducks can swim.
——Frogs can swim.
Step 4. Practice
Work in pairs. According to different pictures, understand and say. Act in pairs and perform of one's own accord.
Step 5. Listen and check（P53）
Listen to the tape and do exercises.
Step 6. Sing
Learn the songs which the content closely related to the context. It not only strengthens the new learning knowledge, but also stimulates the interest of learning..
