本单元来自上海教育出版社出版的小学五年级英语教材Unit 2 Going to school, 主要内容是用How do/does…come/to school? 来询问他人上学的交通方式。因此，让学生充分掌握上学交通方式的询问与表达，是本单元教学的重点；让学生了解其他国家的学生和其他角色的交通方式，对比自己上学的便利，感恩生活的馈赠是本单元的情感升华。为此，在学习过程中，不仅要注意新旧知识的有机整合，对核心语言进行螺旋式升华，还应帮助学生进行听说读写连用等综合技能的训练与培养，从而真正完成本单元的学习目标。
【知识目标】
1. 表示交通方式的单词和短语，如 walk, on foot, by bus, by car, by train, by taxi, by bike , 要求学生从听、说、认、读方面掌握。
2. 两个句型：How do you usually go to school? I usually/ often/ sometimes go to school by bus.要求学生熟记并能拓展，进行交流。
【能力目标】
（1）能够通过师生说、两两说和自主听读体验交际式英语教学的一般过程，掌握英语说听的基本方法；
（2）能够通过两两说和综合说体验合作学习的过程和方法；
（3）能够仔细倾听老师和同学的发言，有语言表达和与同学交流的愿望。
【情感目标】
（1）激发和保持学生英语学习的动机，实现“趣能”两得；
（2）在学生两两交流和小组合作交流中，培养孩子合作意识和合作精神，能够相互配合完成一段通顺流畅的说话训练。
【教学重点】
学生能够辨别交通工具，如 car, bus, bike, plane, train .
【教学难点】
