教学目标如下：
1、能够掌握所学的词汇及短语。
2、掌握过去进行时态，并能用所学语言复述过去发生的一件事情。
3、学习能力的培养，通过连贯的听说读写等，培养学生的交际能力，发展他们的思维能力。
4、在课堂活动中把学生分成学习小组，让他们在活动中相互探讨，从而获得提升。
5、让学生通过复述进一步去描述自己经历的难忘事情，通过重大事件接受人文教育。
教学过程：Step1：Lead-in
通过一首英文歌《Price Tag》引出过去进行时态。
T：Do you like the song? It’s my favorite song. I was listening to it at ten last night.
What were you doing at ten last night?
S: I was doing my homework/reading books/ watching TV/sleeping…
T: Do you want to know what they were doing at ten last night?
(出示五张本班学生的照片，引导学生们用过去进行时态来说他们正在做什么。)
Step2: Presentation
T: What was the weather like yesterday?
S: It was sunny.
T: The weather in Beijing was bad yesterday. There was a rainstorm.
