一、教学目标(Teaching Objectives)
通过本节课的学习,学生能够:
1. 借助语境,感知、理解“although the storm broke many things apart, it brought families and neighbors closer together.”的意义。
2. 运用跳读、扫读、精读、标记关键词等阅读技能,获取文本中的有效信息;运用思维导图,理清文本脉络,实现对文本的意义理解。
3. 利用keywords进行有效阅读;意识到构建思维导图助于理清脉络
4. 基于对文本的理解,归纳比尔、父母及邻居的优秀品质。
5. 体验与同伴在互动中的切身感受,意识到交流、分享、互助在生活与学习中的重要性。
6.理解暴风雨不只带来了灾难,也把人们的心聚在一起,互帮互助。认识到事情有两面性。
二、教学步骤(Teaching procedures)
Before reading
1.Show pictures to Ss and learn some new words.
2. Introduce new friend
设计意图:激活已知,为新课导入做铺垫。
While reading
1. Look and think
Predicting(预测): What will we learn about today?
设计意图:引导学生根据题目和图片,预测今天要学习的主要内容,培养学生的预知猜测能力
2. Skimming
What’s the main idea?
Reading Tips : Read the topic and find out the similar sentence。
设计意图:引导学生通过跳读,快速阅读文本,获取关键信息。

3. Scanning
Guide the students to divide the passage into three parts.

Part I---Before the rainstorm
Part II---During the rainstorm
Part III---After the rainstorm
