一、教学目标（Teaching Objectives）
通过本节课的学习，学生能够：
1. 借助语境，感知、理解“although the storm broke many things apart, it brought families and neighbors closer together.”的意义。
2. 运用跳读、扫读、精读、标记关键词等阅读技能，获取文本中的有效信息；运用思维导图，理清文本脉络，实现对文本的意义理解。
