Step 1 情景导入
The teacher points at a girl in the classroom and asks：
Teacher：Where are you?
Student 1：I am in the classroom...
Teacher：What are you doing?
Student 1：I am answering your questions.
The teacher writes “What are you doing？”on the blackboard and asks in Chinese：这是什么时态？引导学生回答，复习现在进行时态的意义及结构。再问这位学生：“What were you doing when I came in？”，引入过去进行时态，板书课题，引出本节课的教学任务。
环节说明：以旧带新，由学过的现在进行时态引出过去进行时态，易于学生理解，降低学习难度，便于引起学生的学习兴趣。
