1.整体设计思路、指导依据说明
本节课根据新课程标准和学生实际来设计教学活动,让学生在谈论马丁路德金遇害、9.11事件发生时民众正在干什么来复习巩固过去进行时。本节设计思路:以读写为主线,循序渐进的任务型教学活动为辅助手段展开知识的学习。利用视频导入,将学生带入本节的语言环境,学生通过本课的学习,提升了阅读能力和写作能力。
2.教学背景分析
教学内容分析:
本节课是本单元的第四课时,是一节阅读课,本节课主要通过谈论马丁路德金遇害、9.11事件发生时普通民众正在干什么来复习巩固过去进行时态。重点训练学生的听力能力、阅读能力和写作能力。本节课的重点是进一步加深和巩固本单元的话题内容,讲述一系列发生在过去某一时间的事情,以此来复习过去进行时态。
先是视频导入,初步了解灾害的相关内容,并引出新单词。阅读任务设计方面,快速阅读任务训练了学生们快速捕获信息的能力,并进行了阅读策略的指导。Careful-reading部分给同学们出示了具体的分段阅读任务,中间涉及到了本单元的目标语言当什么事情发生的时候,某人正在做什么,阅读后的复述和写作联系也反复练习了目标语言。涉及的文化背景知识主要是通过进行阅读训练让同学们了解世界各地发生的重大事件,树立灾难事件是互相帮助的精神。

语言知识目标:
语言知识:熟练掌握重要的单词和短语如:ompletely, shocked, in silence, take down
date, tower, truth, at first等。
继续复习过去进行时。
基本技能目标:通过进行阅读训练提升理解能力和阅读能力。
情感态度目标:通过进行阅读训练,培养学生阅读基本能力,树立灾难事件时互相帮助的精神。
4.教学重点、难点分析
教学重难点及突破
重点:复习过去进行时态的用法,同时培养阅读能力。
难点:能运用过去进行时态讲述过去正在发生的事。
教学突破: 通过复习过去进行时态的目标语言,学会谈论过去正在发生的事,同时提升学生的理解能力和阅读能力。通过本课的学习,培养学生崇尚自由民主、热爱和平的意识。
5.教学过程设计
步骤1:Lead-in
播放2008年5月12日汶川地震发生时的新闻。教师叙述When I heard the news,I was working in the office. I was completely shocked. I was so scared that I was in silence. And I will never forget the date.引入新课,同时放到语境中引出新单词。
步骤2:Reading
Before reading
利用多媒体出示图片,通过图片介绍阅读中的两个事件,先是出示汉语,同学们自己读获得信息,然后用英语填空的形式将主要信息引出,训练同学们瞬间捕获信息的能力。
Fast reading
让同学们快速读课文将段落大意连线,并进行阅读策略的指导,注意每一段的第一句。
Careful reading
本部分分为两部分
分段阅读
读第一段和第二段完成一个问题的表格,在同学们度的过程当中教师要巡视教室,及时帮助学生发现或解决困难,从而保证学生能顺利完成任务。

任务一:根据思维导图简单的复述两个事件。在老师的引导后,一部分同学都能根据思维导图复述出课文。
任务二:根据板书的思维导图将本节课的两个事件给写出来。写完后让同学们以小组为单位修改自己的作文,每小组选出一个最好的最后起来展示。
设计意图:考察学生对本课知识的掌握,提升学生运用语言的能力。
5.拓展
利用三幅图片,一幅是神舟九号,一幅是北京奥运会场馆最后一幅是地震后的救灾图片,引导学生们铭记历史,珍惜当下的生活。

6.教学评价设计
评价内容:
本节课的中心话题是围绕What were you doing when the important event happened?这个题材开展的阅读教学活动,结合本课的重难点和学科特点,采用了任务型教学法依靠多媒体技术,整合教学资源。充分运用电脑及网络资源,开发英语教学资源,拓宽学生学习渠道,改进学生学习方式,提高教学效果。将网络提供的丰富的教学资源,融入到英语教学中。通过读、写来培养学生综合运用语言的能力,学生能积极主动参与到教学中来,师生互动、生生互动较好,气氛活跃,真是精心设计,做到了环环相扣,步步为营。
评价方法:
本节主要采取的激励性评价和过程性评价,通过师生互动,生生互动给予学生自由发展的空间与机会,对每一位学生的发言和表现,都给予了积极地鼓励性的评价,评价中多鼓励少批评,多给学生一些自信和尊重,真正做到了在“用中学,学中用”。
