【学习目标】
1.同学们通过扫描每段的关键词,能够把握文章的篇章大意。
2.同学们通过细节阅读,能够快速找出文章的信息。
3.学生能够根据上下文猜测生词如normal、share、experience的含义。
4.通过阅读文本同学们知道“观点”和“事实”的区别,并能够用自己的观点证明事实的正确性。
5.同学们可以模仿文章的写作思路尝试写出自己生活中的问题,并能够尝试给别人提出建议。
6.同学们在阅读文本的过程中体会分享问题,与人交流的好处,从而形成正确的交友观。
【教材分析】
本篇文本出自人教版八年级上册Unit5 What were you doing when the rainstorm came? 的Section B阅读课文。文章以重大的突发事件为背景,通过人们的回忆讲述过去正在发生的事情。
2a让学生通过看插图和标题预测文章的内容;2d是较为深入的阅读理解;2c要求学生对文章的具体信息进行判断;2e是对文章细节的互助提问和检测。
【学情分析】
八年级学生处于初中学习的关键时期,同时也是成长发展的转折点。这一时期的学生渴望自由、平等,喜欢探索问题,但是由于思想还不够成熟,所以看问题还比较片面。他们希望别人把他们看成“大人”,希望别人信任尊重他们。当自己的想法得到别人的肯定时会非常高兴,有成就感,如果遭到别人的否定时就会比较敏感、脆弱,性格变得内向,不善交流。
【重难点分析】
重点:
1.单词: event, passage, pupil, completely, shocked, silence, recently, terrorist, tower, truth.
2.短语: on the radio, the rest of the dinner, in silence, take down. have meaning to, remember doing, look out of..
句子:

【设计思路】
阅读前:通过“魔法球”的游戏导入文本,感受英语中一些单词如worries,problems,normal等的含义。
阅读中:
1.粗读:概括每一段的段落大意。推测文章的篇章大意。
2.细读:通过阅读完成任务,比如回答问题、完成思维导图等把握文本,提高阅读能力。
阅读后:完成写作:小组合作,共同完成在某一重要事件发生时(春晚 / 加拿大学生来访,两者选其一即可)学生们正在做什么,有小组长进行记录,小组共同展示。
【教学流程】
Step1: Warming-up: 情境导入,思维激趣
Magic ball(魔法球游戏),用时3分钟
The teacher lets students pass a ball. The ball is made of some pieces of paper. On most of the paper, there is a sentence. The student who holds the ball should follow what the paper says.
Aim: Let students review the key sentence structure of this unit and then arouse the interest in this class.
通过游戏轻松导入新课,让学生感受并且再次复习本单元的重点句式What were you doing when...?同时,游戏有助于激发学生的学习兴趣。
Step2: Fast-reading:语篇感知,构建架构 用时5分钟
Skim(略读) the passage and answer the questions.
1. How many events were mentioned in this passage?
2. What are they?
Aim: Grasp the main idea of this passage so that they can know the main idea of the passage.
通过略读把握本章的主要段落大意和篇章的主要意思,从宏观方面现有一个总体的感觉。


Aim: Let students know the relationship among the paragraphs, then they can get the reading skill. This is really helpful for their future development.
通过快速阅读,学生可以掌握文章大意,对文章的脉络有初步的了解,在学生阅读中,教师要注重阅读技巧的学习和培养。

通过完成找寻答案,学生们可以通过Robert的故事,清晰地了解到整个马丁路德金被暗杀的这一事件。他们也可以更加明确,人们为什么会记得在过去某个事件发生时,他们正在做什么。因为是重要的事件,所以人们才会记得。

Aim: By reporting the whole story, students can know the event more deeply and clearly. Every student gets a chance to show himself or herself. It is also a good way to bring them more closer..
让学生们以汇报的形式再次回归文本,学生们对这一事件进行了梳理,进行深度学习。学生在小组合作中,集体意识更强,合作更加密切。
Task 3: Read para 3&4 and complete the form

【教学反思】
本节英语读写课是一节基于课程标准的阅读写作课。我侧重突破传统的阅读课教学模式,注重学生阅读能力的培养。同时也希望学生们可以通过阅读文本真正明白生活中与人沟通交流的重要性。具体有以下几个亮点:
1. 导入精彩。我利用一个“魔法球”的游戏,让学生们随着音乐进行传球。当音乐停止时,球在哪个同学的手上,哪个同学可以解开球的一页,根据纸中的要求完成任务。这些人物的设计有趣而又贴近学生的生活,学生很乐于参与其中。同时,我们本单元的重点句式结构也在游戏中得以再次体现,学生们玩得高兴,不知不觉中也对前面的知识进行了回顾,为后面文本的学习做好铺垫。
2. 精心设计,培养学生的阅读能力。本节课教学环节设置环环相扣,由易到难。有师生问答,生生合作问答,活动设计有回答问题,完成思维导图,记者采访,小组合作展示等环节,学生可以通过多种方式学习英语,体验英语。阅读中我时刻不忘渗透阅读策略,如粗读、细读,关键词寻读,事实得出结论,结论验证事实等方法,希望同学们能够在今后的阅读中学习使用这些阅读策略指导自己的阅读,真正做到会读、乐读。
3. 读写结合,以读带写。写作是有效的阅读输出方法,本节课我设置了两个写作任务,内容都是出自文本,与自身的生活密切相关,学生共同回忆“重要时刻自己正在做什么”这一写作任务真正实现了信息共享,合作学习。效果较好。
不足:
1. 写作环节时间较少,可以事先给同学们更充分的讨论时间,然后再安排写作任务,这样更符合学生的学习规律,生成性的东西会更多。
2. 最后的小诗分享环节,同学们可以一起说,深刻体会语句的涵义,给自己的生活带来积极的导向。
3. 学生的当堂达标如果能够使用投影展示,让同学们找一下里面的错误,时效性会更强。
