教学设计
1.整体设计思路、指导依据说明
整体设计思路:
本节课以Qomolangma为主线话题,按照阅读课的思路读前热身、读中(快读抓大意、细读抠细节)读后输出和感情升华。考虑到语言的形成性和渐进性,设计教学内容和教学活动时,注意了每个相对独立的“小任务”之间的关系,既要环环相扣,小步推进,螺旋上升,还要让每个“小任务”之间都有承上启下的过渡语,这样形成的“任务链”有助于降低语言学习的难度,帮助学生顺利达成目标。而且每个任务时段中有若干具体教学步骤(Steps),以落实该时段 “任务”,并最终实现主题目标。每个任务时段又分别对应信息处理的三个环节,即信息输入、处理加工和输出,分别完成不同的信息处理任务,从而达到学以致用的目的。运用多种教学手段,创设与话题相关的情景,激发学生的学习兴趣,突出语言教学的交际性,倡导任务型教学途径,使学生在“做中学,学中做”,努力提高学生在实际生活中的语言实际运用能力。
指导依据说明:
英语新课标倡导任务型教学(Task-based Language Teaching)模式,融汇话题、交际功能和语言结构,帮助学生在实践中循序渐进地学习语言知识,发展语言能力。另一方面我们努力体现和落实课程标准的基本理念和教学要求,比如体现英语教育的“人文性”和“工具性”相结合的要求,突出“以人为本”的教育思想,在培养学生综合语言能力发展的同时,培养学生的学习策略,丰富学生的思维方式,发展学生的合作能力和创新能力,提高学生的文化意识及人文素养,从而全面提高学生的综合素质。
2.教学背景分析
教学内容分析:
(1)本单元内容分析:
本单元介绍国内外的地理知识。通过比较,了解中国以及世界地理知识通过搜寻具体信息,培养寻读(scanning)的能力通过罗列事实及数据,初步学习说明文的写作。
(2)本课内容分析:
3a—3c部分为阅读版块。阅读材料是关于珠穆朗玛峰的介绍,学生通过阅读了解珠穆朗玛峰的险峻和人类客服困难、挑战极限的勇气与实践精神。3a要求学生阅读后根据文章的描述匹配段落大意。3b的活动引导学生关注细节,列举各段要点。而3c则是要求学生根据文章信息回答问题,更进一步把握文章内容,了解与珠穆朗玛峰有关的信息
(3)学生情况分析:
初二学生已经积累了一定的英语词汇,已经学了比较级和最高级的用法及数字的读法。Unit7第一课时已经初步接触到了珠穆朗玛峰的知识。地理上也早已学习了相关知识都为此课学习打下基础。但初二学生两级分化严重,对阅读课的学习稍微有些畏难情绪。因此,此课采用了大量图片、视频吸引学生注意和兴趣,小步子循序渐进以降低难度。

重点单词:achievement,thick,include,condition,succeed,force,nature,ocean,the Pacific Ocean
重点短语:take in,in the face of,even though,risk their lives,never give up trying to achieve dreams,the forces of nature,the spirit of climbers

Step1:Lead- in and Pre-reading
(1)Warming-up??
Talk about mountain climbing and the reason why they like it or not.
?设计意图:
爬山的经历比较能引起孩子们的共鸣。通过对爬山喜恶的谈论迅速把学生注意力带到课堂中,为之后谈论登珠峰打下基础。
Watch a short video about Qomolangma and talk about what the students know and see in it..
设计意图:这个关于 Qomolangma的视频效果非常的震撼,极大吸引学生的兴趣。此视频内容又与本课生单词相关,同时教授单词如:thick clouds,freezing weather condition,为展开后面的话题扫除障碍。过渡自然,导入课题。
Step 2 While-reading
(1)Fast-reading
Task: Matching each paragraph with the main idea.
设计意图:
通过速读抓住各段意思,对文章有整体的理解,为之后的分段阅读做准备。掌握skim这一阅读技能,提高阅读文章的速度。
(2 )Careful-reading
Task1:Read paragraph 1 carefully and fill in the blanks about the facts and the dangers.
设计意图:细读第一段,学生理解喜马拉雅山的位置,珠穆朗玛峰的天气状况和危险情况。
Task2:Read paragraph 2 carefully and circle the year about people reached the top.
Q:Do you want to be the first one?
设计意图:细读第二段,学生理解在登山方面的成就:第一个登峰之人、第一个女登山队员以及第一支登山队伍。通过这三个第一的出示,问学生:想争第一么?引导学生若成为第一,别骄傲;若不是第一,继续努力,做好自己。
Task3:Read paragraph 3 carefully and answer 2 questions.

设计意图:细读第三段,回答关于登山精神和登山原因的两个问题。学生更能体会出攀登珠峰过程当中,永不放弃和挑战自我的精神。
Task4: Read the whole passage again and fill in the blanks of a short passage .
设计意图:通过再一遍整体阅读和填空输出,学生对文章加深理解。
Step4 Post-reading

设计意图:分角色表演有助于提高学生的兴致,通过操练,提高学生对本节课所学语言知识的综合运用能力。让学生对关于珠峰的描述熟记于心,达到学以致用的目的。
Step5 Summary
Ask the students what they should do and lead them to challenge themselves and never give up.
设计意图:结合板书,梳理本课内容。尽管攀登珠穆朗玛困难重重(第一段),但人类仍在登山方面取得了巨大成就(第二段)。为什么呢?第三段攀登珠峰精神—挑战自己,永不言弃。

Step 6 Homework
Write a short passage:

设计意图:课下通过写的形式进一步巩固本节课的知识,学生更加深对珠峰和珠峰精神的理解。通过互联网获取更多关于珠峰信息,完善自己的report。
教学反思 :

(1)活动的目的性和可操作性。本课采用任务型教学法,学生带着目的去进行不同形式的读-——整体寻读,分段细读,再整体阅读。在一遍遍阅读当中,不断深化对珠峰的理解。
(2)活动中以学生的真实生活和兴趣为焦点话题,内容形象生动,学生易理解掌握;
(3)通过活动让学生习得英语语言知识、更重要的是发展学生的语言技能;
(4)分组活动时尽量创造机会,促使学生主动获取、处理和使用信息,尝试用英语与他人 ??交流,提高用英语解决实际问题的能力;
(5)鼓励学生小组团结合作。
(6)穿插竞争机制, 活跃课堂氛围。
总之在设计每一课时, 教师必须尊重学生个性发展,面向全体学生的基础上,由浅入深,由已知到未知,循序渐进地深化教学内容。展开以教师为主导以学生为主体的师生双边活动。注重教学的直观性和趣味性,加大课堂密度。培养学生辨别、理解、分析、运用语言的能力。
6.教学评价设计
评价方法:
(1)小组展示,学生自评
(2)学生讨论,在全班同学面前展示,学生相互纠错,老师课后根据学生的表现与学生共同为各组打分。
