Key vocabulary:

(2)Ability Object ?To train the students’ ability of listening, speaking, reading and writing. ?(3) Moral Object
To train students’ ability of using present progressive in daily life.
Teaching Important and difficult points To master the key vocabulary.
To train the students how to use the target language.
To make sure the students know “be+doing”means something is happening. Teaching Aids computer, a video, PowerPoint and so on. They will be needed in this lesson. The Teaching Methods
1.“Task-based” teaching method 2.Communicative teaching method 3. Audio-visual teaching method As we all know: the main instructional aims of learning English in the Middle School is to cultivate students’ abilities of listening, speaking, reading, writing and their good sense of the English language. So in this lesson I’ll mainly use “Communicative” teaching method, “Audio-visual” teaching method and “Task-based” teaching method. That is to say, I’ll let the Ss get a better understanding of the target language. I’ll give the Ss some tasks and arrange different kinds of activities: watching video, listening to the tape, making conversations and group activities.To use these methods is helpful to develop the Ss’ thought.
Studying Ways ??1. Let the Ss pass "Observation—Imitation—Practice" to study language. ??2. Let the Ss pay attention to the key information in the practice. ??3. Enable the Ss to study English language by communication. ??4. Let the Ss know that conclusions and being good at thinking are necessary to learn English well.
Teaching Procedures
Step 1.Warming up
Watch a video.
Step 2.
Learn new words and expressions .After that, Ss have a memory test about the activities they’ve just seen.
Step 3.???
Talk about the pictures on the screen .Teacher asks , Ss answer together .
I believe this activity can improve the Ss’reading skills and observation ability,which is also closely related to our life.
Step 4.Listening practice
Listen to the tape and finish 1b and fill in the blanks.
Step 5.Pair work
Ss work in pairs to ask and answer questions about the information shown on the screen.
Give praise to the pairs who act out the conversation correctly and quickly.This activity gives students speaking practice in using the key sentences in this unit.
Step 6. Act out
The best describer.Ask some pairs come to the blackboard to act it out .
This is enable to arouse their desire and interest .
Step 7 .Summary
Ask Ss to do the exercise on the screen to make sure they have mastered the key language points.
Step 8.Homework Find out the rules about present participle.
Teaching Reflection:
By studying in a happy and pleasant class atmosphere and with some other aids of teaching, we can train our students to get as many chances as possible to practice listening, speaking, reading and writing skills so that students will have good abilities of communication in the future.
