1. 学生掌握词汇:young和old。
2. 学生能正确听读并表达句型:Is he / she …? Yes, he / she is. No, he / she isn’t.
3. 学生能表演对话,并掌握句型:Who’s she? She’s …. Is she …? Yes, she is. No, she isn’t.
【能力目标】
1. 学生能熟练掌握两个大小写字母Ii和Jj的听书读写。
2. 学生能诵吟字母儿歌,理解句意,注意语音语调。
【情感目标】
关注学生情感,努力营造宽松和谐的教学氛围,激发学生学习英语的兴趣,在合作活动中互助共进。
【教学重点】
在学习了单词的基础上,以单词为载体,进行主要句型的学习,并了解其中的语法现象,根据具体情境,学会交流对话,侧重句型语法学习,交际意向和课外拓展为重点。
【教学难点】
单词和句型的综合运用。

1. Teach: young
T: (Point to the left man.) Look, the man is young. Let’s read: young.
2. Teach: old
T: (Point to the right man.) Look, the man is old. Let’s read: old.
Step 2. Look and say

No, he / she isn’t.
1. Play the media.
2. Follow the teacher and say:
Who’s she?
She’s ….
Is he / she …?
Yes, he / she is.
No, he / she isn’t.
3. Pair work:
Is he / she …?
Yes, he / she is.
No, he / she isn’t.
4. Act out the dialogue.
Step 3. Play a game
1. Listen to the dialogue.
2. Look and act out the dialogue.
3. Let students to show ther photos of their family.
4. Ask them to ask the questions to know something about the member. Do pair work.
Eg.
S1: This is …
S2: He / She is …
Is he / she …?
S1: Yes, he / she is.
No, he / she isn’t.
I like my …
Step 4. Listen and enjoy
Sing the song: She’s my mummy
Step 5. Ask and answers
1. Show pictures of Kitty and Danny.
2. T ask the question “Is that boy?”. Let students to answer by “Yes. / No.”
3. Ask and answer:
Is he / she …?
Yes. / No.
4. Ask students to play a game:
One thinks about a person, and others ask some questions to guess who he / she is.
Step 6. Learn the letters
1. Learn the big letters
(1) Write “I” on the blackboard.
(2) Then show “J”.
(3) Show the letter cards “I, J”.
2. Learn the small letters
(1) Write “i” on the blackboard.
(2) Then show “j”.
(3) Show the letter cards “i, j”.
3. play a match game: I, i, J, j
4. Tongue twister
Harry has a jar.

An insect in a jar.
Step 7. Homework
1. Write the new words and sentences.
2. 朗读本课单词、句子和课文。
