I felt very sad because I was not able to get the ticket to the film?Hero?last Friday. I learned from the newspaper that tickets could be bought at the cinema box office in Richland Hills any day between 10:00 a. m. and 4:00 p. m. Since I work from 9:00 a. m. to 5:30 p. m. , the only time I could go to the cinema is during my 45 minutes’ lunchtime. It is a pity that the cinema is on the other side of the town and the bus service between my company and Richland Hills is not very good. But if you are lucky, you can make the round trip in 45 minutes.
Last Monday, I stood at the bus stop for 15 minutes waiting for a bus. By the time I saw one come round the corner, there was not enough time left to make the trip, so I had to go back. The same thing happened on Tuesday, and again on Wednesday. On Thursday my luck changed. I got on a bus right away and arrived at the cinema in twenty minutes. But when I got there, I found a long line of people at the box office. I heard one man said he had been waiting in line for over an hour. I found I would not have enough time to wait in line. I caught the next bus and went back across the town.
By Friday I understood my only hope was to make the trip by car. It was expensive, but I felt it would be worth it to see the film.?The trip by car only took 10 minutes, but it felt like an hour to me.?When I reached the cinema, I was delighted to see that nobody was waiting in line. But I quickly found out that it was because they had already sold out all the tickets.

Love is a two - way street
A father sat at his desk and looked at his bills when his young son rushed in and announced:“Dad, because today is your birthday and you’re 40 years old, I’m going to give you 40 kisses, one for each year!”When the boy started making good on his word (履行诺言) , the father shouted:“Andrew, don’t do it now. I’m too busy!”
The boy soon fell silent as tears fell from his big blue eyes. Feeling sorry, the father said:“You can finish later. The boy said nothing but quietly walked away.”That evening the father said:“Come and finish the kisses now, Andrew!”But the boy didn’t.
Unfortunately, a few days later after the father’s birthday, the boy had an accident and died. His sad father wrote:“If only(要是...该多好) I could tell him how sorry I am for my thoughtless words, and how much my heart is hurting.”

Tuesday, 1st September
I had mixed feelings today, nervous, worried, happy, excited… My heart went down when Miss Chan, our head teacher, said that Matthew and Beth, two students from England, would spend three months with us! I was worried that I had to speak English so much! But at the end of the school day, I was happier than I thought: the morning with them today was more enjoyable than I expected.
Today is the most unforgettable first day I have had! Matthew is fantastic! His English is clearer and easier to listen to than I thought. The other English student, Beth, is the most helpful girl I’ve ever met. There were lots of things to do on the first day. Beth offered to help Miss Chan put up all the notices. Of course, some of the credit (功劳) should also go to ME because I translated some of the notices for her. Miss Chan praised us!
We finished all the preparations 10 minutes earlier than expected, then Beth and I talked for a while, Matthew sang several English songs and did some stand-up comedy (单人喜剧表演) at the party. We all praised him. When the bell rang to end the first school day, none of us wanted to leave.
When I went back home, I had a little headache. I have probably spoken more English today than the whole of last year.
It was really a happy day! I hope our friendship can continue, even after they gone back to England!

Not everything is interesting in life, but we still have to face them.
Sometimes I feel worried when I make some silly mistakes in the exams. Sometimes I feel bored when my parents don’t allow me to play. And sometimes I feel annoyed because I have so much homework to do.
That kind of feeling is really bad. So I will do something different to relax myself or think about other things. For example, I can listen to the radio and some soft music. Besides, I often talk with my good friends. Then I become happy again. You can have a try!
