  根据中国科学院知识创新工程的规划和国家实施“生态文明”建设, 加强生态环境宣传和教育的需要, 1999年国家投入经费, 经过近十年的努力建成了依托于中国科学院动物研究所的国家动物博物馆。该馆集动物标本收藏与展示、科普知识宣传与教育、生物多样性描述与编目为一体, 是一个代表国家水平的专业博物馆。
  国家动物博物馆展示馆凝聚了我国几代动物学研究科学家的心血和集体智慧。总建筑面积7 300平方米, 其中展览面积5 500平方米, 共分为三层, 建筑格局模仿法国自然历史博物馆。具有普及动物学知识, 宣传环境保护及人与自然和谐共处主题的功能。
  展示馆依托中国科学院动物研究所强大的科研背景, 系统全面地将科学知识与精美的动物标本展品结合在一起, 充分利用各种展览方式和手段由浅入深地引导广大参观者学习和了解动物学知识。
  展示馆已于2009年5月17日正式向社会公众开放, 成为中国科学院动物研究所面向社会服务的一个窗口, 一个生态文明教育和科学普及的基地, 一个拉近科研工作者与社会大众距离的平台。
  展示馆下设动物多样性与进化、无脊椎动物、鸟类、濒危动物、蝴蝶、昆虫、动物与人、动物所发展历程、精品、交流共十个独立展厅, 另设可供参观者休闲娱乐的咖啡厅和4D动感电影院, 可使参观者来此汲取专业知识的动物科学主题书店和开放式讲堂。
  开馆后的动物博物馆计划每周开馆6天, 周一闭馆, 每天接待普通参观者300人次, 每年开放时间300天。除了固定展示内容外, 将根据社会发展的需要举办短期的主题展览, 开展系列专题讲座, 指导以青少年为主的普通观众亲身参与、实际操作, 进一步提高他们的自然保护意识。
  国家动物博物馆展示馆即将成为我国重要的科普宣传基地, 国内最大的普及动物科学知识、宣传生态环境保护、传播人与自然和谐共处的专业博物馆。
公共场所礼仪规范
  公共场所是为社会公众提供活动和服务的地方。无论是大街小巷、绿地公园, 还是影院剧场、图书馆、饭店, 都需要人们自觉维护秩序。遵守公共场所礼仪规范是现代公民必须注意的一条, 它是现代公民素质的直接体现。
  公共场所行为举止
  (一)走路规范
  走路应尽量走一条直线, 脚拇指用力, 用膝盖的内侧互相摩擦, 同时避免左摇右摆, 手应轻轻地前后摆动, 不要插在口袋中。步伐不应太大, 脚步要轻。
  (二)站立规范
  站着时, 两手应放在胸前自然垂下, 左右相握或垂放身体两边, 千万避免插在口袋中或者两手交叉抱在胸前, 也不要手搭在旁边的物体上。
  (三)优美的坐姿
  坐下时, 背部要挺直, 与坐椅背部保持一个拳头的空隙, 双腿并拢, 再稍向左或右倾斜, 这样会显得更加美观。另外也要避免半躺在沙发上或托颊发呆或跷着二郎腿, 这些举动都是极不雅观的。
  (四)说话规范
  在公共场所高声谈笑是极不文明的行为, 因为这种失态会遭到别人的反感和厌恶。尤其是职业女性, 说话声音更应自然轻声。
  (五)公共场所与人交往
  向别人打招呼前应点头, 面带微笑, 愉快地说话。公共场所和办公室一样, “对不起”“请”“您好”“谢谢”“拜托”“麻烦您了”“再见”之类的礼貌用语应经常挂在嘴边, 形成自然习惯。
  公共场所是人与人交际见面之处, 见人三分笑, 千万不能板着脸, 更不能自命清高, 漠然或巍然地孤芳自赏。

2. 博物馆特色

  大英博物馆(The British Museum), 又名不列颠博物馆, 位于英国伦敦新牛津大街北面的大罗素广场, 博物馆收藏了世界各地的许多文物和珍品, 藏品之丰富、种类之繁多, 为全世界博物馆所罕见。 大英博物馆是一座位于英国伦敦的综合博物馆, 也是世界上规模最大、最著名的博物馆之一, 成立于1753年。博物馆拥有藏品800多万件。由于空间的限制, 还有大批藏品未能公开展出。博物馆自1759年1月15日起正式对公众开放。
  古埃及艺术品是大英博物馆最负盛名的收藏。大英博物馆的东方文物收藏也十分精彩, 主要包括中国、印度、日本、韩国、波斯及南亚和东南亚等地的艺术品。中国收藏品中以东晋画家顾恺之的《女史箴图》最引人注目, 而精美的商周青铜器和上世纪初由斯坦因带往英国的大批敦煌文物也是极其重要的珍品。
大英博物馆和纽约的大都会艺术博物馆、巴黎的卢浮宫同列为世界三大博物馆。大英博物馆包括埃及文物馆、希腊罗马文物馆、西亚文物馆、欧洲中世纪文物馆和东方艺术文物馆。其中以埃及文物馆、希腊罗马文物馆和东方艺术文物馆藏品最引人注目, 东方艺术文物馆中中国的藏品则占据了绝大部分。大英博物馆所收藏的古罗马遗迹、古希腊雕像和埃及木乃伊举世闻名。
