The Olympic Games in Ancient Greece
Introduction
In the ancient times, every four years in the summer period, a major event, which lasted seven days, was held in Olympia(奥林匹亚), a city in Ancient Greece（古希腊）. it included religious rituals（宗教仪式） and athletic games（运动项目）.
The first written testimonies（证据） with the names of winners, date back from the year 776BC.
The Palaestra(体育场), a square building-3rd century BC. It was an area in which athletes trained for wrestling, boxing and jumping.
