Analysis of students:
Students in Class 9, Grade 8 have enthusiasm for studying English and are good at critical and creative thinking. They are active in discussion in class. Ss have learned many tenses such as the present tense, the present continuous tense, the simple past tense, and the future tense. But they didn’t understand the present perfect tense before. They can concentrate on the class and enjoy cooperative learning.
Analysis of the teaching material:
It is the third period of this unit, but this is the first period of grammar learning. The class will develop with a nice day of Darren Lee. The topic is close to our daily life, and it is the core language point of this unit. Therefore, the teaching content of this lesson plays an important role on the the transmission of knowledge, listening methods and speaking ability. Ss will be let to watch a vedio to learn a micro lesson about the present perfect tense in advance. Also, Ss will finish a questionnaire star to test themselves before the class.
