学情分析
七年级的学生具有过渡性和不稳定的特点,学生基础差异大,因此在设计问题上注重分层,面向全体,充分调动学生的积极性,而且这个阶段学生好奇心强,再加上本单元是学生感兴趣的话题,所以在课堂设计上我注意激发学生的学习兴趣,并发挥自己的想象提出一些建议或意见。同时,设计系列英文歌,顺口溜及游戏活动,激发学生的学习兴趣,尤其是小组教学活动,更增强学生的竞争意识,培养学生的合作精神和积极思考能力。起到事半功倍的效果。
重点和难点
1.方位介词in?,on?,?under,behind?的用法?
2.where句型表述物品的正确位置
3.熟练掌握词汇chair,table,sofa,bed,bookcase,desk.

Step 1: Lead-in??
播放英文儿歌"Two tigers”教学生编唱英文歌曲。

Step2?: Learn the new words
Show the pictures of the things on the screen.
Teach the new words: chair, table, bed , bookcase, sofa.
(First, read the pronunciation , then read the words. Each word has the singular form and plural form.)
Read the words over and over again until the students can name each item fluently.
Step 3?: Guessing game.
Show the things that are covered, let students guess“Is it a/ an…”, if the student can’t guess what it is, show the thing gradually. In this part, groups have a competition.
Step 4?: Work on 1a
T: Turn to page 19, look at 1a. First read the words. Then look at the picture and look at the letters.
Read the instruction.
Students do 1a on their own.
Check the answers.
Read the words again.
