Not long ago, I answered a telephone call from an old friend who I’d not heard from for a long time.
“Hi, my good friend,” said the voice on the end. “I just wanted to see how you’re getting along.”
At the end of the conversation, he said , “if you need me in any way, I’ll be happy to help out.” And he meant it! That call came at just the right time. I needed those words of encouragement. I hung up the phone and felt very warm in my heart.

An Unforgettable English Lesson
Ever since I went to school, I have had a lot of lessons. Among them, what impresses me most is my first English lesson in middle school.
I used to be a shy student and afraid of making any mistakes. So poor was my English that I even did not dare to speak in English. However, the first English lesson in middle school made a big difference to my life. During the lesson, the teacher encouraged me to be brave and speak confidently in English. saying nothing is impossible as long as you fight for it. Though I made a wrong answer. she did not get angry. Instead. she patiently helped me to realize what the problem was and how to correct it.
Thanks to her kind heart and encouraging words. ever since that lesson, I tried to be brave and made much progress in English
