过去进行时专题梳理——南通濠南
（一）定义： 过去进行时，是表示过去某个具体时刻正在进行的事情或动作。
（二）结构：
过去进行时的构成：
句式 结构 示例
肯定句 主语+was/were+doing+其他. I was dancing to the beautiful music then. 那时我正在伴随优美的音乐跳舞。 We were listening to the teacher carefully at eight yesterday. 昨天八点钟，我们正在认真听老师讲课。 She was running at that time. 那时她在奔跑。
否定句 主语+was/were+not+doing+其他. He wasn’t doing his homework just now. 刚才他没在做家庭作业。 I wasn’t singing then. 那时我没在唱歌。 They weren’t listening to music at that time. 那时他们没在听音乐。
一般疑问句 Was/Were+主语+doing+其他？答语：Yes，主语+was/were./No，主语+wasn’t/weren’t. Were you reading a book？你在看书吗？Yes，I was.是的，我在看。No，I wasn’t.不，我没在看。 Were they playing tennis？他们在打网球吗？Yes，they were.是的，他们在打网球。No，they weren’t.不，他们没在打网球。 Was she dancing？她在跳舞吗？Yes，she was.是的，她在跳。No，she wasn’t.不，她没在跳。
特殊疑问句 特殊疑问词+was/were+主语+doing+其他？ What were you doing at eight yesterday？昨天八点你在干什么？ Where was he playing at that moment？那个时候他在哪儿玩儿？
（三）用法
1. 常用的时间状语this morning, the whole morning, all day yesterday, from nine to ten last evening, when, while
例如：
例1.We were watching TV from seven to nine last night.昨天晚上七点到九点的时候我们在看电视。 ??????
例2.It was raining when they left the station.他们离开车站的时候天正在下雨。
例3.When I got to the top of the mountain, the sun was shining.当我到达山顶的时候，阳光灿烂。
2. 过去进行时可以表示在过去某个时间点发生的事情。时间点可以用介词短语、副词或从句来表示。
例1.What was she doing at nine o’clock yesterday?昨天晚上九点她在做什么？ (介词短语表示时间点)
例2.When I saw him he was decorating his room.当我看见他的时候他正在装饰房间。 (when从句表示时间点)
3. while\when\as 与过去进行时
①when, while 和 as 这三个词都有“当………时候”的意思。
例1.There were fewer sandstorms when my grandparents were young. 我祖父母年轻时沙尘暴要少些。
例2.While Mille was watching TV, her mum was sleeping.米莉在看电视时，妈妈在睡觉。
例3.I saw a traffic accident as I was riding to school this morning.今天早晨我骑自行车时看到一起交通事故。
②when 和 as 既可以指某一点时间，也可以指某一段时间，其从句谓语动词表示的动作既可以是瞬间性的，也可以是延续性的；while指一段时间，从句中的谓语动词必须是延续性的。
即：指一段时间时when, while 和as都可用；指一点时间时，只能用when或as，不能用while。
③当 while , when 和 as 放在句首时，两个句子应用逗号隔开。
例1.When the teacher came in, we were talking.
例2.While the pig was dancing, the rabbit was jumping.
例3.As the two men were leaving, a message arrived
