讲授新课
1.Presentation
(1)Show some pictures and ask: Who are they? Where are they? What do they do there?
Show the first picture on P34 and ask: What’s in the picture? Are these vegetable?
Introduce the background of Zongzi: Zongzi is a kind of Chinese food. We usually eat zongzi at Duanwu Festival/Dragon Boat Festival. It is to remember Quyuan. Then ask: Why Tony ask are these vegetables?
Show the second picture and ask: What on the table over there? What will Steven ask? Are these bread/ cake/eggs? What are those?
Introduce the background;On Spring Festival, we usually Jiaozi. Chinese people like to eat jiaozi very much. We can have jiaozi with tomato and egg in it. We can have jiaozi with carrot and mutton in it. We can have jiaozi with fish in it. They taste good.
Ask some questions: What would Tony like? What would Steven like?
Do you like jiaozi or zongzi? Why? What else Chinese food do you like? What Chinese food you want to introduce to Tony and Steven? How?
(4)Play the radio.
(5)Teach the new words: vegetables, Chinese food, taste, more.
2.Practice

学生打开教材第36页,自读对话,根据上下文的意思单词并抄写。
学生按要求完成填空练习。
引导学生猜测故事发生的地点和主要情节。
学生可以发散为Tony刚到中国,尚未吃过粽子,粽子是绿色的与蔬菜很像,粽子与Tony见过的任何食物都不同,引导学生去理解这句话背后的文化差异。
教师提供补充文本帮助理解语言和文化。
着重理解It tastes good.和Can I have some more.感受如何用语言直接和间接表达对食物的喜爱之情。
鼓励学生大胆说出自己的想法。帮助学生正确表达自己的观点。
学习并纠正发音,让学生掌握正确的发音。
加深对单词的理解和掌握。
熟悉对话内容,练习英文发音,锻炼表达沟通能力。
通过全班活动增加课堂乐趣,调动学生学习英语的积极性,以及在生活中运用英语沟通的能力。
引导学生观察这五个单词的拼写,思考并归纳出五个单词中字母i所在的位置,发现构词规律和发音之间的关系。
引导学生自己进行字母拆音训练,进一步巩固强化字母i在单词中的发音。
锻炼学生的书写能力。
通过情境呈现对话,挖空二级词汇,以图画等提示信息,让学生从写单词开始,初步培养学生的书写能力。
课堂小结
本课时将板块三、板块五和板块六的内容结合起来。因为这三个板块的教学内容具有递进性,从故事阅读,到拼读尝试再到读后写的练习,通过不同形式的活动,培养学生的读写能力,从而达到本课的教学目标,体现语言的综合运用。
