Dick lived in England. One day in January he said to his wife, "I'm going to fly to New York next week because I've got some work there." "Where are you going to stay there?" his wife asked. What do you wish for?wish,hope的区别
(1)hope和wish后都不能接动名词,但可以接不定式,意为“想,希望”。
(2)wish可用于wish sb. to do sth.结构,hope则不能用于此结构。
(3)wish后可以跟双宾语,用来表示祝愿;但hope不能这样用。
(4)hope和wish都可以接从句。hope接从句表示“希望”;wish接从句所表达的内容通常是不可能实现的愿望,从句要用虚拟语气。Language points ask for后接物时,意思是“要求得到某物”;接人时;意思是“要求见到某人”。I will ask for a pen next time.
