1. Look at the questions in the warming up again.
What are you leaving? Where are you staying?
How are you going to...? How long are you staying in...?
When are you arriving in/at...? What are you coming back?
Can you find any other similar sentences from the reading passage?

They are in the present continuous tense but they express future actions.

The present continuous tense can be used to express a plan or an arrangement.
2. A newspaper reporter is interviewing Wang Wei about her plans for the trip the Mekong River. However they are not sure about some of the verb tenses.
Please complete their conversation.
R: Miss Wang, I hear that you (travel) along the Mekong River. Have you got everything ready?
W: Almost.
R: So when you (leave)?
W: Next Monday.
R: How far you (cycle) each day?
W: It's hard to say. If the weather is fine, I think we'll be able to ride 75km a day.
