The story is about a frog
who joined a band and became
a singer.FREDDY, THE FROG(1)
Freddy the frog dipped his long, thin legs into the water. Within a few short weeks he had changed from a small tadpole into the beautiful animal he was now. He smiled to himself. Then suddenly he heard a fine, deep soundListening textthat carried far into the darkness of the quiet night. Freddy looked up. “Other frogs! I must try and find them,” he thought. “It is so hard being a grown-up frog on my own.” He began to swim slowly towards the sound. Suddenly he knocked into a large lily pad. On it sat three confident frogs and they were playing instruments. Freddy climbed onto the leaf. “Can I sing with you? He asked quietly. “Of course,” they said. He opened his mouth wide and began:Help! I need somebody, Help! Not just anybody. Help! You know I need someone. Help! When I was young, so much younger than today, I never needed anybody’s help in any way. But now these days are gone. I’m not so self-assured(confident)! Now I find--- I’ve changed my mind. I’ve opened up the doors.Help me if you can, I’m feeling down(沮丧的 ) And I do appreciate you being round. Help me get my feet back on the ground. Won’t you please, please help me!
