Step 2: While-learing:
Look at the picture of 1a, and compare “what is Jane doing while Maria calls her.”with “What was she doing at this time yesterday.” Discuss the differences between the present continuous tense and the past continuous tense.
Show some pictures to talk about what were you /was he or she /were they doing at this time yesterday.
Students work in pairs to talk about what was he /she doing at this time yesterday?
Sum up the structure of the past continuous tense.
Do exercise and work in pairs.
Play a guessing game and sing a song to learn the general question.
