repairing the body throughout life. As a result, they might
be used to repair damaged or diseased organs and tissues.
Researchers are looking on cloning as a way to create
genetically engineered human stem cells for research and
medical purposes.
To clone or not to clone: that is the question. Human
cloning is highly controversial and raises a number of
problem. Why would people want to clone humans? One
important reason is to help childless couples have children.
From a technical point of view, before humans are cloned,
we need to have a good idea of the risks involved. Cloning humans does give rise to some misgivings(误解),
raising a number of moral problems involved. In fact, the
social influences of producing humans artificially were
brilliantly explored in the famous novel Brave New World
by Aldous huxley, and also in the movie The Island.
Human cloning is basically about creating a genetically
identical copy of a previously existing person. Why would
some choose to clone human beings? Well , generally, it can
make couples unable to have babies have own children.
Replacing a dead child is also another reason why some
people have expressed interest in the technology.
