2.能听懂并会用When did the Spring Festival start?The Spring Festival started long ago.和What did people do?People made jiaozi and ate them. 等句型进行表述和问答对话。
3.让学生了解世界各国节日,乐于接触和感受外国文化习俗,学会比较和鉴别。

教学活动
让学生在书籍资料和网络上查找,列出世界各国主要节日一览表,写上节日月份或日期,人们庆祝方式,有关习俗,并进行相互对比(中外对比,不同国家的相似节日对比)。
课前准备
教师课前需要准备录音机、磁带、教学挂图和制作的课件。
教学过程
1. 任务3的教学:
(1)让学生看Listen and tick,先浏览内容,了解大意(不同国家的节日对比)和要求。
(2)播放录音,让学生认真听两遍,先听清楚录音中人物的谈论内容。
(3)根据录音内容,让学生在表格中分别选择Carnival (Brazil),Day of the Dead (Mexico)和Halloween (US)的季节或月份、人们的活动和类似于什么节日,并在选项前面的括号内打√号。
(4)让学生再听一遍录音,检查所选择内容是否正确。
语言点解释
chicken指“鸡”时,是可数名词,如a chicken(一只鸡),three chickens(三只鸡)。但作“鸡肉”解时,是不可数名词,一概用chicken,也不管这种肉是来自cock还是hen。
任务3录音材料:
— Carnival is a very famous festival. There are carnivals in many countries, but the most famous is in Brazil. Carnival is in the spring. People dress up and sing and dance. Carnival is a festival of music and colours. Carnival is not like other festivals, but it is a little like a Chinese dragon dance. A very bigdragon dance!
— Don’t be afraid! The Day of the Dead is a family festival. The Day of the Dead, or Dia de los Muertos , is a festival in Mexico. It is in November. On the Day of the Dead, people make dolls and think about their family. The Day of the Dead is like the Qingming Festival in China.
— Halloween is a fun festival for kids. In the US, kids dress up and ask for candy. They say “trick or treat”. The festival started long ago. People made food for people in their family. Today, the festival is for kids.Halloween is a little like the Day of the Dead.
2. 任务4的教学:
(1)让学生看Look and talk,先浏览内容,了解大意(中国传统节日和风俗)和要求。
(2)将学生分成两人一组,根据图片中的三种食品,就与这三种食品有关的三个中国传统节日的起源、人们的活动和饮食,两人仿照图片中人物对话(但不局限于其中的句型,可以进行适当扩充)进行问答对话。
(3)教师播放自己制作的课件。课件中显示中外各国的主要节日,文字显示节日名称、所属国家、起源、人们庆祝方式、饮食和有关习俗等。课件中配以声像,向学生展示了所学的重点词语(有所扩充)和句型,既可起到复习、巩固作用,也为学生进行问答对话起了示范作用。
(4)让学生在书籍资料和网络上查找,列出世界各国主要节日一览表,写上节日月份或日期,人们庆祝方式,有关习俗,并进行相互对比(中外对比,不同国家的相似节日对比)。(此活动可作为学生的课外作业。)
教学评析
本节课教学内容是谈论、比较中外各国的节日,教学中采用各种形式让学生积极参与课堂教学活动,寓学于乐,不仅学习、复习和巩固了所学语言知识,也有利于调动和发挥学生的主体作用,能够较好地实现教学目标。
