At the end of the class, students are able to:
Say, read and write the following words: banana, carrot, eggplant, watermelon, orange, hamburger, tomato, strawberry, pear, coffee, juice, milk, ice cream, bread, salad, chicken, rice, cherry and broccoli.
Consolidate the transfer of plural form and singular form of some countable nouns.
Talk about likes and dislikes using like.
Realize the importance of keeping healthy eating habits.

The names of food.
Target language:
–Do you like bananas? –Yes, I do. / No, I don’t.
–Does he/she like milk? –Yes, he/she does. / No, he/she doesn’t.

Ⅴ. Teaching Procedures
Step 1 Lead-in
Work out four riddles about names of some fruit and vegetables.

Step 2 Presentation
Present pictures and fill in the blanks. Present target language in between: I/We like…… I/We don’t like……
Game: Guess Mary’s eating habits! Present target language in between:
Mary likes…… Mary doesn’t like……
Chain work. Present target language in between:
Do you like…. ? Yes, I do. / No, I don’t.
Step 3 Practice (1) Pair work: students practice the conversations using the target language and the food names in pairs. Invite several pairs to act out. Take down some notes when the other pairs are presenting:

Step 4 Listening drill
Listen to a monologue twice.
Answer two questions:
How many people are mentioned? Who are they?
What is the text mainly about?

教学总思路
本节课作为第六单元的第一课,教学重点为该单元基本句型的学习和操练。教学流程采用PPP模式,即presentation(展示),practice(练习)和production(产出)。本课最大的优点为各教学步骤以句型的难易程度为线索逐步推进。中间的每一步教学环节既是对新句型的展示也涵盖对前一句型的操练,顺承自然。同时,关注英语文化、知识背景的输入。
首先,通过热身部分的四则谜语导入部分食物类单词,同时提问“为什么茄子被叫做eggplant”来激发学生的学习兴趣和探究欲,进行英语文化的拓展。再通过图片展示、游戏等方式逐步导入句型学习和进一步复习六单元词汇。句型的学习逐步深入,由易到难。从根据图片补全句子学习第一人称I like……和否定句I don’t like……到以游戏的方式学习第三人称She likes……再通过链式任务学习疑问句Do you like……?到了练习部分,主要设计同桌讨论环节进行互相提问回答,操练Do you like句型以及通过同桌对话展示来引入第三人称提问句型:Does he/she like……?
之后,进行听力操练。两则听力一篇为独白,一篇为对话。其中独白部分训练学生肯定句和否定句,对话部分训练学生疑问句的掌握。听力题目的设计多样,通过正误判断和填写表格的方式做到了学生的听说结合操练。最后的产出(production)环节以小组项目为主要活动形式。学生根据给出的话题选择感兴趣的话题进行小组讨论,形成报告。最后进行分组分话题汇报展示。
教学目标
在课程结束时, 学生们可以达到以下目标:
说, 读,正确拼写和理解以下单词: banana, carrot, eggplant, watermelon, orange, hamburger, tomato, strawberry, pear, coffee, juice, milk, ice cream, bread, salad, chicken, rice, cherry and broccoli.
加强对食物类可数名词的复数形式和单数形式的转换。
能与人谈论喜欢和不喜欢的食物,使用like的句型。
认识到保持健康饮食习惯的重要性。

根据图片(食物名+喜好)提示迅速记忆并表达Mary likes…../Mary doesn’t like….
对Mary的饮食习惯用该句型概括。在否定句中学会使用or连接。

教学环节4:链式任务(Chain work)
进行chain work前给出两个实例。要求学生齐读范例。

大声朗读两则范例,注意两则范例的句式和标红处。

Chain work链式任务是一种小组合作,通过链式问答可以对英语的一般疑问句进行操练。而且链式任务可以全班全体同学同时进行,保证课堂的高效和全体学生参与度。

记录pair work展示的同学的喜好,并要求其他同学记载,提问第三位同学: Does he/she like….
板书新句型:Does he/she like….?及肯否回答。
