Step1 Warming- up and Lead- in
Create a situation to arouse the students’ interest by showing the class a video of a girl’s look. Then lead in the title___ What does he look like ?
Step2 Learning new words
Learn new words such as “ tall, medium, height, heavy, thin build, straight and curly ”using the pictures..
Step3 A guessing game
Present some information about famous persons and let students guess who he is. And let students be familiar with the target language.
Step4 Presentation (Section A 1a)
Now please look at P49, Use the letters to match the words with the people in the picture. They can use some letters more than once. Then check in class.
Step5 Listening (Section A 1b)
Before listening:
Guide students to know what they will do.
While listening:
Work on 1b,play the record and ask students to fill in the blanks in the picture above.
After listening:
Check the answer by having one student say the look of Amy’s friend.( He's really tall.And he has curly hair.)

Work in pairs to describe one of the people according to the picture in 1a and the partner will find him/her.
