I’m with you.Summary: Elias’ lifemy personal point of view To my understanding, Elias, who was born as a black in South Africa, had devoted all his life to equal rights for the Blacks.
At the very beginning, Elias lived a simple life eager for equal rights . It was in 1952 when he turned to Nelson Mandela for help that his life started to change. Later in 1963 he helped blow up government buildings for which he was sentenced to four years in prison. There he spent the hardest time of his life.Summary: Elias’ lifemy personal point of view However, only then did he become better educated. He realized that he could get a degree too, which made him feel good about himself, though he could get no job after being released. Finally when the ANC came to power in 1994, with Mr. Mandela’s help he worked as a tourist guide on Robben Island.
