一、教学目标:
(一)知识目标:
熟练掌握以下词汇、短语、句式
1继续学习描述性形容词以及固定短语如 friendly,shy, smart, cute, scary ,be friendly等。
2继续复习以What,why 引导的特殊疑问句询问“什么,原因,地点”的目标语言。
(二)能力目标:
1通过pair-work等形式培养学生口语交际能力和语言的实际运用能力。
2听力能力的提高。
3学习总结知识结构并梳理知识层次。
(三) 情感目标:
通过互相询问和谈论自己或对方的对动物的喜爱和描述,可以培养学生的爱心和保护动物的意识。培养学生参与各种爱心活动的积极性和编写语言的创造性。

五、教学过程
Step1 Lead-in
Watch a short video about animals, and ask them: “What animals can you see?” Ask some students to share their answers.
Then tell them “Animals are our friends. We should be friendly to them.”
Now, do you want to go to the zoo with me?
Oh, yes, let’s go to the zoo.
Step 2 Review
OK, boys and girls, Let’s see some animals. Do you know them? Do you like them? And why or why not?
With the help of PPT, review some words about animals.
Then ask some students:
--Do you like pandas/ elephants/ tigers/ giraffes…
--…
--Why do you like them?
--…
Ask some groups to share their dialogues.
Good job! Let’s go on learning some words.
Step 3 Presentation
Learn these words first.
Then check. And ask one student to write these words on the blackboard.
Next, ask the students to read these words together loudly.
And ask: What do you think of these animals? Please use the words we just learned.
Step 4 Listening
Pre-listening
Give them some pictures, and let them think: What do you think of these animals?
Give them 2 minutes to discuss.
Give them some help if they need.
Then ask some students to share their opinions.
For example:
S1: I think the cats are friendly.
S2: I think the dog is lazy.
S3: …
Now, look at 1a, what do you think of them? Do 1a, please!
Check the answers.
Then ask the students to say the sentences together.
I think the tiger is scary. I think the lion is lazy. …
While-listening
Look at 1b.Listen and circle the description words you hear in 1a.
Next, ask some student to share their answers.
Then , check the answers.
