This is the second unit of the fifth grade English book Making plans, which requires students to talk about their vacation experiences based on the original English knowledge and use the appropriate sentence patterns for skilled questioning and description.

Step 1. Review
T: What are you going to do this weekend?

Step 2. Warm-up
Listen and look.
Answer the questions:
Is next week a holiday?
Who is Jenny going to have a picnic with ?

Step 3. Presentation
T:Tony is going to go to Shanghai by ship this weekend.
He’s going to stay in a hotel in Shanghai.
T: I am going to go to Beijing by plane this weekend.
I am going to stay with my aunt and uncle in Beijing.
T:Jenny is going to go to Huangshan by bus this weekend.
She’s going to go camping there.
T:Gogo is going to go to Tianjin by train this weekend.

Step 5. Reading and Writing
Turn to Page 22, let’s go camping. Fill in the blanks with a-e in page 23.

一般疑问句:Be(am is are)+主语+going to+动词原形+其它:
Eg: -Are you going to read books tonight? -Yes, I am. -No, I am not.
Is he going to buy a comic book this morning?-Yes, he is.-No, he is not.
特殊疑问句: 疑问词+be(am is are)+主语+ going to+动词原形+其它
Eg: What is she going to do this evening? She is going to visit her grandparents.
What are they going to do tomorrow? They are going to play football.
其次,和他出现的朋友还有以下特征:this morning, this afternoon, this evening, at night, tomorrow, this weekend, next week,soon等表示将来时间的词语。
