Lesson 5 Introduce your pet
第一课时
【教学目标】
1．语言技能：
（1）能够听懂、会说、认读单词与词组：pet, so, nice, clever, run, fast, her, cat, rabbit, favorite, food, fish.
（2）能够熟练地运用句型 “This is my pet.” “She is nice and clever.” “She/he runs fast.” “I like her and she likes me.” 来向别人介绍自己的宠物。
（3）能够运用句型“What’s her/his favorite food?” “Her/his favorite food is....”来询问和回答喜爱的食物。
2．语言知识：
（1）学会有关介绍宠物的句子, 能在现实生活中运用。
（2）学会用形容词描述人或事物。
3．情感态度、学习策略与文化意识：
（1）敢于开口，表达中不怕出错误。
（2）能对新学内容进行归纳与总结。
（3）能够在语境中体会到中西语言表达方式上的不同之处。
【教学重点】
句型：“This is my pet.” “She is nice and clever.” “She/he runs fast.” “I like her and she likes me.””What’s her/his favorite food?” “Her/his favorite food is....”
词汇：pet, so, nice, clever, run, fast, her, cat, favorite, food, fish.
【教学难点】
单词、短语及句型的认读、理解和运用
her和me的用法。
3．能在现实生活中的用英语介绍、描述或询问宠物的情况
【教学用具】
1．教师准备与本课时相关的图片、课件、录音机与录音带。
【教学过程】
Step 1:Warm-up
Greeting.师生用英语互相问候。
“Hello, boys and girls. How are you?”
“Nice to meet you”
......
Review. (复习上节课Lesson4中的介绍好朋友：教师随机点同学起来问候并询问他的好朋友，然后让其介绍他的好朋友）
Teacher: Hello, what’s your name?
Student: Hello, my name is John.
T: Nice to meet you, John.
S: Nice to meet you, too.
T: Who is your good friend, John?
S:( student points at someone)
T: Can you introduce her/him?
S: This is... She/he likes... She/he can...
Step 2:Presentation
Introduction：
Teacher: OK, boys and girls, we have already known how to introduce our friends. Now, let’s do something different. Let’s introduce pets(宠物).
教师教读单词“pet” .
课件上出示小猫、小鱼和小兔子的图片
教师教读单词“cat” “fish”和“rabbit”.
教师引导学生说“这是我的宠物猫。”
翻译：1.我喜欢她，她也喜欢我。I like her and she likes me.
2.她的好朋友是我。Her good friend is me.
教师讲解her和me的用法。
教师引导学生继续学习描述性的单词
“clever、nice、run、fast、favorite、food”
4. listen to the tape and try to understand the text
Teacher：Who can translate the text for me?
学生回答完后教师来做适当地评价和解说。
Translate the sentences.
她跑得很快。____________________

她最爱的食物是鱼。________________________
着重讲解问答“她喜爱的食物是什么？”

教师在课件上出示小猫和小兔子的图片，点同学起来对它们进行描述

【教学目标】

（2）能够熟练地运用句型 “This is....” “It is....”来向别人介绍事物。
2．语言知识：
（1）学会有关介绍事物的句子, 能在现实生活中运用。
（2）学会用形容词描述人或事物。
3．情感态度、学习策略与文化意识：
（1）敢于开口，表达中不怕出错误。
（2）能对新学内容进行归纳与总结。
（3）能够在语境中体会到中西语言表达方式上的不同之处。
【教学重点】
句型：“This is....” “It is....”
词汇：it, a, bed, tidy, boy.
单数第三人称时动词的变化。
【教学难点】
1．单词、短语及句型的认读、理解和运用
2．能在现实生活中的用英语介绍、描述或询问宠物的情况

1．教师准备与本课时相关的图片、课件、录音机与录音带。
【教学过程】
Step 1:Warm-up
1．Greeting.师生用英语互相问候。
2．Review the words.（教师在课件上出示单词pet, so, nice, clever, run, fast, her, cat, favorite, food, fish.）
3. Review the text.
4.Check homework.
Ask some students to introduce the pet cat.
Step 2: Presentation
Introduction
T: Who knows how to say “这是我的兔子，她跑得很快” ?
S:This is my rabbit. She runs fast.
T:如果不说“这是我的兔子”，而说“这是一只兔子”，该怎么说呢？
S：...
教师介绍单词 “a”. 教读“This is a rabbit.”
T：“这是一只猫”怎么说？
S：This is a cat.
T: “这是一条鱼”怎么说？
S：This is a fish.
教师介绍单词“it”. 教授句型“it is...”
T：“她跑得快” she runs fast. 我们还可以直接说 it is fast.
它是一只猫。 It is a cat.
它很好。 It is nice.
T:“它是一只兔子，它很聪明”怎么说？
S：It is a rabbit, it is clever.

T：上次课我们讲解了单数第三人称和复数人称和is和are的搭配问题，今天我们要讲单数第三人称和动词的搭配问题。
单数第三人称包括上次讲的he,she以及刚刚讲的it.
“她跑得快”书上写的是she runs fast. run这个词是跑的意思，而后面加了个s,这是因为主语是单数第三人称she的关系。主语是单数第三人称时，后面跟的动词要加个s。
他踢足球。______________________
它喜欢鱼。________________________
