Step 1 Warm up:

Step 2 free talk.? What is the weather like today? Step 3 Presentation 1. Remind the Students that because it is a fine day today, we can go shopping.? 2. Bring a dictionary, a watch, a calendar, a notebook and a diary on the desk, and tell them that now I an selling these things, now they are shopping.
3. Talk:
T: Do you like this red coat?(pointing my own coat)
S: Yes, I do. / No, I don't.

T: How about this...(pointing certain student)

Then I can write some useful sentences according to my conversation with?them.
Step 4 Practice

Step 1. Leading-in

2.Play a short game( Counting numbers with your fingers )

T: Yes, on sunny day we can go shopping. OK, let’s go shopping now. I want to buy many things. Let’s see.
Step 2. Before task
1.Presentation
1)( Book closed.) Bring in two real dictionaries of different size and two watches of different prices. Show one of the dictionaries to the students. Ask, “What’s this?” Tell them It’s a dictionary. Then ask Is it big or small? It doesn’t have many “words”.
2)Teach the words expensive and cheap. Tell the students the prices of the watches. Hold up one of them and ask, “Is it expensive or cheap?”
3)Introduce the words calendar, notebook and diary. Revise the adj. beautiful, ugly, thick, thin, old and new. Ask some of the students to make sentences using the adj. and the items they have learned.
4)Consolidate these words by symbols and the game—mime and guess.
2.Practice
1)Show Transparency. Play the Pupil’s Book Cassette and point to the pictures. Ask the students to listen to the cassette.
2)( Book open.)Ask the students to read loudly after the cassette.
3)Big group work to read the dialogue in different characters and then change their characters. ( boys and girls )
4)Pair work to role-play the dialogues. Ask some students to role-play and act out the dialogue.
3.Using
When we go shopping, what should we do?
1). We should make a shopping list.
2). When we are shopping, we shouldn’t push or run.
3). We should be polite to others.
4). We should line up.
5). We should say, “Hello”.
6). We should say, “Excuse me”.
Step4. Post-task

1. Write down a shopping list and make a short dialogue with your friends or classmates.
2. Copy the words and the sentences.
3. Listen to the tape and imitate.
