Step I:Warm –up
1. Good morning boys and girls.
2. Duty report
Step II:Revision
1.?Ask the pupils to read aloud some words what they have learned before.
2.?Ask the pupils to make sentences with some words.
3.?Ask the pupils some questions.
Step III.Presentation
1. Bring in photos of different animals, eg. ant, bee, cheetah, eagle, parrot, shark, turtle,
whales. Show the photos of the other animals to the students and teach the names. Put the photos on the board.
2. Write the adjectives amazing, clever, dangerous, exciting, great and interesting on the board and revise them with the students
3. Teach the words surprising. It has a similar meaning to amazing.
4. Ask the students if they know how the animals wove.
Step IV Practice
1. (Books open.) Show Transparency. Revise the new words. Point to each pictures on the page. Read aloud or play the Pupil's Book Cassette. The students repeat the words after the teacher.
2.Check the sentences together with the students to see which group wrote the most correct sentences.
Step V Sum-up
1. The students point to the pictures on the page and read aloud then the students should repeat the words after the teacher.
2. Ask the students to work in group of three. They should role-play the conversations and| continue to use the words shown below the pictures.
五、Homework
1. Read the dialogue and the sentence.
2. Preview Unit 6.
3. Write an e-mail to the classmate.
4. Read part A for 5 times.

Step I:Warm-up
Greetings.
Step II: Revision
Let students say the names of animals.(Show a picture of animals in Animal Kingdoms)
Step III:Reading:
1、Before reading:
(1). Show a picture of a parrot, and talk about the parrot.
T: What animal it is? Do you have a pet parrot? Can your parrot repeat well?
(2). Read the title: Paul’s Pet Parrot. Predict what the story is about.
T: Who keeps a pet? What’s the name of his pet? What did Paul’s parrot repeat?
(Prompt the students to answer It repeated the words from Paul’s list.)
(3). Show them the questions and explain that to them.
2、During reading:
(1). Ask the students to listen to the story, after listening, find out from the class if any of their predictions about the story were true.
(2 ). Read the story again and answer the questions.
(Have them to discuss these questions in one group of four students.)
Who can do the test and get 100℅ for speaking?
(3). Check the answers with the students. Ask some students to read aloud their answers.
(4). Say something about Paul’s parrot.( With the mind map)

3. Encourage the students to use comparatives and superlatives.
Step IV Practice
1. (Books open.) Show Transparency and play the Pupil's Book Cassette. The first time, ask the class to listen and follow along in their books. The second time , pause the tape and ask the students to repeat the sentences
2. Point to each of the picture in turn and ask the student to tell you what is happening in each picture.
Step V Sum-up
1. The first time the class should listen and follow along in their books. The second time the students should repeat the sentences
2. The students should read the dialogue at the bottom of the page. Then they should complete the dialogue using the information on the page.
3. The students should match the correct pictures of animals with the words.
