1. Now let’s learn part 1
Children from all over the world talk about their holidays.
Tell the pupils to ask their classmates questions about the photographs holidays and leisure time in general, for example: Do you like this girl?Can you serf?
Guide the pupils to a certain extent. But you are guided by the pupils’ interests, too.
2. Write the words
3. Learn the part 8.
Let the pupils look at the pictures. Then ask:What is he/she doing? What are they doing?
Teach them to use: She / He is doing…. They are doing….

Step 3: Drill.
1. Teach: bathroom、bedroom、living room、kitchen
Spell: kitchen, bath
What can we do in the bathroom/bedroom/living room/kitchen?
2. Teach new phrases: have a bath, wash the dishes by TPR.
3. Show the picture of writing “sweet home”. It’s really a nice house. I hope this is my home, sweet home.
4. Today we will learn a story-The monster.
All the things take place in this house. Please read this story silently. Try to understand it. Show the question:
What is this story talking about?
5. Introduce the story.
6. Read the story.
7. Read the story by yourself

Individual works. Retell the story in the class.

2. 能运用句子What's he/she doing? What are you/they doing? He/she is... I am... We are...They are...等交流人物的活动。
3. 能听懂孩子们假期的短文,并找出与短文相对应的图片。
4. 能在图片的提示下听懂、读懂小故事The monster, 能进行简单的角色表演。
5. 能学唱英语歌曲The animals’ summer party。
在语境中初步理解现在进行时的意义和用法。

1. 师生自由对话,学习动词和动词词组,如point,sing, fly a kite, read,swim,play football,play the guitar,play basketball,ride a horse等,为后面的学习做好准备。
2. 老师播放录音,学生初步感知对话内容。
3. 再次播放录音,学生打开课本,引导学生借助图片进一步感 知对话内容,可以让学生根据对话录音重复多听内容,老师给予积极评价。
4. 老师引导学生学说和练习问句以及答句: What's he/she doing? What are you/they doing? He/she is... I am... We are...They are...等交流人物的活动问答。在此学习过程中,老师注意让学生仔细观察缩写形式和完整形式:We’re = We are,I’m= I am, He’s = He is,She’s = She is。
5. 学生跟读录音。
6. 借助图片、动作或课件,学生分组进行对话练习。
Step 3: story
1. Learn part one of the story.
Read picture one loudly.
Show: Whose house is it?
What are the mouse and the hamster going to do?
2. Learn part two of the story.
The mouse and the hamster are going out for their holidays, only the rabbit left at home. Let’s watch the pictures.
Show: What will happen?
Four big animals rush into the house, who are they?
What are they doing in the house?
What is the hippo doing?
What is the lion doing?
What are the fox and the snake doing?
What is the rabbit doing?
Look at the four big animals, how are they feeling now?
What about the rabbit?
Whose house is it at this time?
They are robber (强盗).
3. Learn part three of the story.
The hamster and the mouse are angry, too. They have got an idea. OK, let’s look!
Show: What’s the idea?
When the big animals look at the crocodile, how are they feeling?
What do they say?
Who is it?
Is it a crocodile?
Whose house is it at last?
What the clever animal!
Which animal do you like best in this story? Why?

2. 过程与方法:以小组合作与情景教学为主,运用游戏帮助学生理解与运用所学知识;指导学生通过朗读和听音获取正确的信息,掌握一定的朗读和听音技巧。

2. 老师播放录音,学生初步感知短文内容,圈出孩子们的名字,Lisa,Matt,Liu Lei, Mike,并学说人名。
3. 学生再次播放录音,学生回答问题Where are they from?并学习国名Canada,the US, China,Russia。
4. 老师提问Now they are on holiday. Do you know what are they doing?引导学生观察这四幅图片,鼓励学生用所学的知识描述图片。
5. 学生根据录音找到孩子们度假时正在做的事情,并与相对于的图片连线。
6. 师生核对答案,学生练习短语 visit the Great Wall, play football in the park, swim in the see, ride a horse。
7. 学生跟读短文录音,加强核心句型What is he doing? What is she doing? What are they doing? We’re visiting the Great Wall. I’m riding a horse. We are playing football in the park. We are swimming in the sea.
8. 学生两人一组朗读短文。
9. 学生小组活动,运用自己学到的语言介绍自己的假期生活。老师巡视,并给予指导和帮助。老师引导学生学说和练习问句以及答句What are you doing?What’s he doing?What is she doing? We’re… I’m… He is … She is … 在此学习过程中,老师注意让学生仔细观察缩写形式和完整形式:We’re = We are, I’m= I am, He’s = He is,She’s = She is。
Step 3: Drill.
1. 学生打开课本,边听录音边看图片,了解故事的主要人物,初步理解故事的大致情节。师利用课件呈现图片,老师介绍说:Here are some children from all over the world. They are talking about their holidays。
2 老师播放图片1-3的录音,学生思考 Who is on holidays?
3. 再次播放上述部分录音,学生逐句跟读,模仿录音中的语音、语调。
4. 学生读图片4-10,思考:Who comes home?What are the animals doing?How are they feeling?Are the mouse and the hamster happy?在此基础上,老师对学生进行语言的教授和操练:A hippo is having a bath. A lion is watching TV. A fox and a snake are playing table tennis. The rabbit is washing the dishes.老师也可以采取填空或者选择的形式来帮助学生理解这段语言材料。
5. 学生阅读最后4幅图片,思考:What will happen?
6. 老师播放完整的故事录音,学生逐句跟读,注意录音中的语音语调。
7. 学生朗读故事,分小组练习。
8. 老师引导学生思考,Who is the monster?
9. 老师鼓励学生进行结尾改编。
