A guessing game
T shows some descriptions of Audrey Hepburn
Ss enjoy the pictures and then they share their ideas about the question.
II While-reading activities
Part one .reading and filling in the table .
Aim:
to enable the students to find out the characters of this great woman.
T asks Ss to read the passage quickly and silently, then do the tables and blanks .
Ss should read the material silently to find out the answer. 2.Ss may have a discussion in pairs to discuss
III Post-reading activities
Set following -up tasks
Aim: to develop Ss’ thinking and get them to learn from great women ..
对应目标:for learners to practice, participate, and co-operate in the classroom activities.
Learn to summarize good qualities about great women and try to write a composition .
Rule:When one group is presenting their ideas and the rest can serve as audience .
Ss work in a group (based on the assigned roles, such as, a painter, a writer or a speaker).They must be clear about their role.
Set homework
Aim: To encourage Ss to study English actively and independently after class
Homework;write a composition about A true angel in your life.

It is a big challenge for students in the second term of Grade 2 to express their own ideas fluently by using what they have learned .

After the war, it was in London that Audrey was spotted by a producer and started her career as an actress.
In 1988, Audrey was appointed a Goodwill ambassador for UNICEF.
Even in her last five years, she had been trying to help those in need.
In 1992, this angel was stricken by cancer.
Audrey Hepburn’s life story17 Audrey was considered the most beautiful woman world-wide and still influences major stars of today.
Becoming famous never changed her generous character. She took advantage of her fame and dedicated the reminder of her life to doing humanitarian work for UNICEF. It is her spirit of sharing love and care that makes her a true angel.
