书面表达,计10分:Is it good for students to do some housework?
Some people think students should devote more time and energy to their courses. They think the students shouldn’t do the housework. I don’t agree with them. Here are my points:
Firstly,to do some housework can make our parents have a good rest. As we know, our parents feel tired after work,so we should do what we can to help them with the housework. They will be happy and relaxed if we do so.
Secondly,to do the housework can make us independent. We can learn some independent living skills by doing chores. We can't depend on others all our life. So,we should learn to do some housework now.
Thirdly, to do some housework can keep us healthy and strong. Some hard housework can be regarded as a kind of physical exercise.
As?the?saying?says?that labour is often the father of pleasure. All in all, doing housework is good for us students.
That's all. Thanks for listening!

Many kids do housework such as doing the dishes, making the bed,and folding the clothes. In exchange, they get some money or other computer time.
Paying kids for housework is one of the most popular topics, especially at a time when everyone is more careful about money. Some parents think since adults are paid to do their jobs,we should pay kids for everyday housework.
But some people don't think kids should get rewards(报酬) for doing housework.Susie Walton,an expert, believe that by rewarding kids, parents are sending a message that work isn't worth doing unless you get something in return.“Running any kind of housework is a team effort,”Walton said.“A home is a living space for everyone in the family. It's important for kids to see that we all have responsibilities in the house, and families decide how they want their home to look, and how they are going to keep it looking like what they want.”
Other people believe that getting a reward encourages kids to do housework, and it also teaches them real world lessons about how we need to work to get money. There are also apps(程序) that gives kids points and digital gifts that can be redeemed(兑现) either online or in the real world.“Our goal is to give kids lawful power so they can get rewards,”says Chris Bergman.“And kids need rewards to help encourage them.”

If you do not use your arms or your legs for some time, they become weak. When you start using them
again, they slowly become strong again. Everybody knows this. Yet there are many people who do not seem
to know that one's memory works in the same way. When someone says that he has a good memory, he
really means that he keeps his memory in practice by exercising it regularly. When someone else says that
his memory is poor, he really means that he does not give it enough chance to become strong.
If a friend complains that his arms are weak, we know that it is his own fault. But if he tells us that he
has a poor memory, many of us think that his parents are to blame, or that he is just unlucky, and few of us
realize that it is really his own fault. Not all of us can become very strong or very clever, but all of us can
improve our memory by the same means-practice.
Have you ever noticed that people who cannot read or write usually have a better memory than those
who can? Why is this? Of course, because people who can't read or write have to remember things: they
cannot write them down in a little notebook. They have to remember dates, prices, names, songs and stories,
so their memory is exercised all the time.
So if you want a good memory, learn from those who cannot read or write: practice remembering.
61. If your arms are not used for some time, they will become _________.
A. weak B. strong C.unlucky D.clever
62. What’s the Chinese meaning of the underlined word “regularly”?
A.正确地 B. 有规律地 C. 错误地 D.专心地
63.If a person tells us that he has a poor memory, the author thinks________according to the passage.
A. his parents are to blame B. it is his own fault
C. he is just unlucky D. Both A and C
64. Which is NOT wrong according to paragraph 3?
A. The people who can't read are cleverer than those who can.
B. The people who can't write are cleverer than those who can.
C. The people who practice remembering regularly have a better memory.
D. A little notebook helps people who cannot read or write get a better memory.
65. What is the main idea of the passage?
A. how to make us stronger B. how to keep fit
C. how to remember dates, prices D. how to improve our memory

Will AI take over our jobs?
Editor's note: China's artificial intelligence(人工智能)expert Kai-fu Lee said recently that half of the world's current jobs will be taken over by AI within 15 years. Will AI lead to mass unemployment? Readers share their opinions.
ceciliazhang (China)The question is no longer if AI will take over our jobs, but when. In fact it has already happened. Our lives have been slowly taken over by AI technology and some have changed the way we work, play and even learn.
Daniel (UK)AI will provide opportunities for those willing and able to adapt(适应). But for those refusing to adapt or trying to return to the past, they will be left behind.
Jaaja (Canada)In general, AI will not be stealing people’s jobs, because most people don’t have jobs requiring much intelligence to begin with.A great number of jobs require intelligence for humans to learn to perform, but after that it is robotic maneuvers. Mindless machines will steal (and have stolen) many more such jobs than AI ever will. With such an extremely loose definition of AI, my job is to develop them so they cannot really replace me.
sunnylin01(China)I would like to see in the future that AI takes over most of our jobs. Then we could do what we like, get more leisure time, and have a decent living standard.

Dear Sir,
I think it is important for children to learn how to do chores and help their parents with housework. It’s not enough to just get good grades at school. Children these days depend 76 their parents too much. They’re always 77________(ask), “Could you get this for me?” or “Could you help me 78________ that?” Doing chores 79 (help) to develop children’s independence and teaches them how to look after 80 (they). It also helps them to understand the idea of 81_______(fair). Since they live in one house with their parents, they should know that everyone should do their part in 82 (keep) it clean and tidy. Our neighbor’s son got into a good college but during his first year, he had no idea how to take care of himself. 83_________ a result, he often fell ill and his grades 84 (drop). The 85 (early) kids learn to be independent, the better it is for their future.
