【评价活动方案】
在阅读前通过提问音乐种类和通过题目及插图对文本信息的预测,对学生参与行为即时进行口头评价,评价目标2.
在阅读过程中,通过运用预测、略读、扫读、思维导图等阅读策略和运用回答问题、补全、划出要点、摘要等具体的阅读任务来推动Tasks1-6的顺利完成 ,评价目标1和目标2。
通过完成Tasks7-8品读诗歌和拓展Writing, ,评价目标3。
【阅读活动设计】
I. Pre-reading:
Play the piece of country music song of Take Me Home Country Road.
话题聚焦:what kind of music is the song? What other kind of music do you know?
Lead the Ss to speak out some other kind of music: pop classical Jazz rock …
And focus on the country music. Then show the title and the picture of the passage. Get the ss to guess what the passage is about.
(设计意图:《乡村之路伴我回家》是一首经典的乡村音乐,同时也正好表达了主人公Sarah思念亲人、朋友的心情。用本曲导入,让学生试着说出不同种类的音乐,拓展学生视野,丰富学生课外知识,导出本文标题。根据学生的回答,快速评价。)
II. While-reading:
Task1. Skimming:
Skim the whole passage for the main idea:
A. Sarah loves country music. Country music changed her life.
B: Sarah is a country music singer. She will have a concert in Nashville.
Help Ss use the reading tip: The first or the last paragraph can help us understand the passage.

Task 2. Scanning:
Ss read the passage quickly and match the main idea of each paragraph.

Task 3. Careful reading:
1. Read Para 1 and answer the questions about Sarah .
(1)Where is Sarah from? In the US.
(2)What did she use to do? She used to fight with her family.
Then ask Ss the question:
When did Sarah fight with her family? And five years ago, what happened to Sarah?
Five years ago, she studied in __________ and heard a country music song. It made her realize how much she actually __________ all of them. The country music changed her life.

(1)SS retell the part of the passage in groups of four. They can choose one paragragh to be ready and show to us in groups. Then Ss summarize the passage by themselves. They should complete the short passage by themselves.
(2)Writing. Ask Ss: A country music song changed Sarah’s life forever. What or who changed your life?
According to the information, Ss prepared for some time by themselves then share with us.
