reduces the amount of land on which we can grow
food.

Besides, animals are endangered, like South
China Tigers, pandas, sharks and so on. On the
one hand, people destroy their living places, like
cutting down trees or bamboos. On the other hand,
people hunt animals for their skins, catch sharks
for their fins. It is reported that around 70 million
sharks are caught and traded every year.
So we, human beings should be responsible for
the environment. We can take effective measures
to protect our environment. Firstly, scientists
should study and work to find ways to cut down
the air pollution that automobiles and factories
cause.
Secondly, government should require businesses
and factories to stop pouring waste into rivers or it
can close them down. In order to protect animals,
government should develop laws to stop the sale of
animal skins or shark fins. We must say no to shark
fin soup.
I think solving the problem depends largely on
our responsibility to society and environment. If the
sense of responsibility is greatly aroused(激发),
harmony (和谐)between man and the environment
will not be far away.
