教学目标：
【知识目标】
1、掌握本课中的四会单词: basketball, try, heavy, difficult, easy, hand；理解三会单词：throw, catch, hit 。
2、学习并掌握重点句型：The… is light/heavy. This is too easy/difficult.
3、理解并会朗读短文。
【能力目标】发展学生综合运用语言的能力，培养学生自主探究的能力及与同学的分工合作的能力。学生能运用所学词汇和句型，运用英语描述运动过程。
【情感目标】通过本课的学习，让学生体会到英语学习的乐趣，乐于感知并积极尝试使用英语，在交流中感受运动的乐趣，培养学生安全运动的意识。
重点难点：
【教学重点】重点单词和句型的理解和掌握。
【教学难点】创设语言情境，运用重点单词和句型。在情境中交流表演，实现语言的综合运用。
教学准备：

教学过程：
Step1. Warm-up
Please talk about the picture. Ask and answer.
What are they going to do?
Step 2. Presentation
1.Talk about the pictures, learn these words: try, basketball, throw, light, difficult, heavy, easy.
Let me try. Here I go!
I'm throwing the basketball!
The ball is too heavy!
This is too difficult!
The ball is too heavy!
This is too difficult!
The ball is too light!
This is easy!
The basketball is heavy.
The ping-pong ball is light
2. Play the recording, read and repeat the conversation on page 6.
Step 3. Drills
1. Listen to the conversations on Page6 again and check the words you hear.

Step 4. Practice
1. Look at the picture on page7. Read and act.
2. Look and write. Complete the sentences using the words in the box.
Step 5. Summary and evaluation
1. Read and repeat the key words.
2. Go through the key structures.
3. Ask the students to give themselves an evaluation.
Step6. Homework
1. Copy the key words three times.
2. Recite the conversations on Page6.
