No matter who we are, where we are, or what we do, we cannot live without water. It is the （源泉） of all life and we need it every day. How important it is! But in truth we’re facing serious water problems.
Although water covers 71 percent of Earth’s surface, only a very small amount of it can be used by us. Only about 3 percent of the world’s waters fresh water. It’s in lakes, rivers and underground. Today, there are over 663 million people living with a dangerous water supply（供应） close to home, according to the United Nations.
