My dream
We all dream about what we would love to do or the things we hope to do in the future. My dream is to be a runner when I grow up. I want to be a professional runner because I like running very much. I think running can make me relaxed.

这是一节基于学科核心素养的初中英语复习课,依据义务教育英语课程标准》(2011年版)五级目标描述:能就简单话题提供信息,表达简单的观点和意见,参与讨论;能与他人沟通信息,合作完成任务;能有效地询问信息和请求帮助;能根据话题进行情景对话;能使用常见的连接词表示逻辑关系。本课以“Plans and arrangements ”贯穿始终,以谈论未来计划和学习计划作为主线。即通过熟悉情境中目标语言的使用以及问题的回答让学生初步认识并掌握表述个人计划,安排的句型结构及思路。结合课本材料和学情特点,本课采用任务教学法(Task-based learning)、项目式学习(Project-based learning)、交际型教学法(Communicative teaching)

Step 1:Lead-in:
Have an introduction and greet the students:
Then I will show a video about the training of physical test.
T: This is a video of my students. Recently, they are preparing for the coming physical test. They practice according to their plans. I think you are also preparing for it. Do you have a plan? Today we are going to make your own plan.
The purpose of my design:
(1) To catch students’ attention and curiosity.
(2) Lead in the topic and show students the project.
Step 2: Presentation and Practice
Activity 1 Reading
1.Presentation
Tell students what aspects should be considered in making a plan, such as the time, reasons and condition. Show students some structures about expressing plans.
2.Let students read the passage and answer the questions. Then underline the phrases which are useful for themselves.
3.Check the answers together.
The purpose of my design:
To show students what should be considered in making plans.
Activity 2 Reading and speaking
1.Read and complete the conversation.
2.Check the answers and find some pairs to play it. Then underline the phrases which are useful for themselves.
3.Work in pairs to make conversation about training plan, including WHAT, WHY, WHERE.
4.Let some pairs act out their conversations.
The purpose of my design:
To make sure the students are able to use the structures. The main purpose of this section is to check up whether students have understood what they will do when in the face of talking about plans.
Activity 3 Reading and writing
1. “We have discussed the reasons, the time, the place… but we don’t have details in our plans. So let’s see how to talk about the details”
Then show students the structures to express the plan, after that, let students read a passage and try making it better by correcting the structures in groups.
“Here is a training plan, but it’s not good enough. I need you to find out the structures which express the plans, instead, try using different sentence structures.
There are some differences between Chinese and English. In English, different tenses can express the things that didn’t happen such as “be +doing…”,“be about to…”
3. Give students a possible version.
4. Fill in the linking words.
“If we want to write down our plans, we should use some linking words. Now, let’s try filling in linking words in this passage.”
Then give students a possible version.
5. Let students try writing four training plans for themselves with the phrases they’ve underlined.
The purpose of my design:
Make students understand how to write down the plans and learn some writing strategies.
Step 3: Brain storm
1. Let students say some kinds of plans in our daily life.
2. Show students the plans in our textbook and the related units
The purpose of my design:
To let the students know the units they need to review.
Step 4 Homework
1.Make your own training plan.
2.Find the phrases in the related units and complete the chart, then share your knowledge with other groups.
