How time flies! It’s four months since we last saw each other. How I miss you. You
asked me about Chinese Spring Festival and now I am writing to tell you something
about it.
The Spring Festival is the most important traditional Chinese festival, which is the
lunar New Year of China in fact. During the festival, people organise various activities
to celebrate it. Firstly, a few days before the festival, houses are cleaned and red
couplets are put up on the doors of each house. Then, on the first day of the first lunar
month, people are dressed in beautiful new clothes happily. Firecrackers are set off in
the air, which adds to the cheerful atmosphere. What’s more, after a year’s hard work,
people begin to relax and visit each other. People get together with friends and
relatives to share the happiness of the festival. In a nutshell, customs may vary from
place to place, but the same happy atmosphere can be found everywhere in the
country.
Now, I hope you have some idea of Chinese Spring Festival and welcome you to
China to spend the festival together.
Best wishes !
Yours,
Li Hua
