Teaching demands and aims
To be able to listen, speak, read and write the new phrases in this unit, such as do morning exercise, eat breakfast, have…class, play sports, eat dinner.
To be able to listen, speak and read the key sentences in this lesson, “When do you …?” “I …at…”.
To be able to use the new phrases and sentence structures to ask others and express own schedules.
To develop a good habit of working and resting, by studying learning and resting in different time of a day.

To be able to master the new phrases , such as do morning exercise, eat breakfast, have…class, play sports, eat dinner.
Difficult points :
To be able to master the key structures and to make a dialogue with “When do you…” and “I…at…”.
To be able to ask others’ schedules and to do “Ask and write”.
Teaching procedures
Step 1 Warming up
Daily talk.
Sing a song together.
Step 2 Leading in
Let’s guess.
1. Teacher acts, and students guess, in ordering to review the words they have learned, just like clean my room, get up…
2. I have hands but I have no feet. I have a face but I have no eyes. I can tell but I have no mouth. What am I??(clock)
Step 3 Presentation
Teacher shows students a clock, and asks “What time is it?”
Ss :It’s 9:00.
Then teacher shows different times, and ask students to answer.
T: It’s 6:00 a.m.. It’s time to get up. I usually get up at 6:00. (Revision)When do you get up?(Repeat for twice and write on the blackboard.)
Ss: 6:30(Different voices).
Then teacher leads them to say: “I usually get up at 6:30 a.m..”
T: After getting up, I want to be strong, so I often…(Teacher do exercises)
Ss speak out: “do morning exercises”.
T: Yes, you are right, do morning exercises (Show the picture of doing morning exercises). Read after me please, do morning exercises…(Teacher writes it on the blackboard.)
Ss: Do morning exercises.
T:When do you do morning exercises?
S: I usually do morning exercises at 7:00.
T:OK, very good. After doing morning exercises, I feel so hungry, so it’s time to…(Teacher pretends to eat.)
Ss: It’s time to eat.
T: You did a very good job. It’s time to eat breakfast (Show the picture of eating breakfast). Read after me please, eat breakfast…(Teacher writes it on the blackboard.)
Ss: Eat breakfast.
T: It’s 12:00. It’s time to eat…?
Ss: Lunch.
T: It’s 9:00p.m.. It’s time to eat…?
Ss: Dinner.
T: Well done! Read after me, please. Eat lunch…Eat dinner…
T: When do you eat breakfast?
S: I usually eat breakfast at 8:00.
T: Great! It’s 9:00. What are we doing now?
Ss: Have English class.
T: Perfect! We are having English class. If I were your Chinese teacher, we are having...
Ss: Chinese class.
T: You’re so clever. Have Chinese class. Read after me, please. Have…class (Show the picture of have…class). (Teacher writes it on the blackboard.)
Ss: Have…class.
T: Look at this clock. When do you have English class?
S: I have English class at 9:00.
(Teacher teaches the rest words in the same way.)
Step 3 Practice
Look at the screen and repeat.
Read these phrases together, and each one read for three times.
Read these new phrases one by one.
What’s missing?
Students look at the phrases carefully, then find out which phrases are missing.
Act and guess.
Invite students to the blackboard, and teacher acts, students guess. Then one student acts, the other one guesses.
Let’s work in pairs.
