Step 1 Warm-up and revision(6 minutes)
1. greeting
2. sing a song
T:Today is nice and I’m very happy. How about you?…let’s sing a song together.
3. review
*ask and answer
T shows the pictures ,One group asks,“What do you want?”and one group answer,“I want …”
T:You sing very well. Ok. Last class we have learnt two new words and the sentence. Do you remember them?……ok!(show the pictures) now this group ask ,and this group answer. one,two,begin!
Step 2 Presentation and drill(25 minutes)
1.teach “What do you want to eat/drink?”
(1)guess two words(eat、drink)
T does action,Ss guess word
T:Very good!Now look at me. I’ll do actions,and you guess word.
(2)teach sentence
T:Listen carefully!What’s the meaning of “What do you want”?…and What’s the meaning of “What do you want to eat?”
*read the sentence the whole class
*read the sentence group by group
*ask the S1/S2/S3 “What do you want to eat?” use“I want…”answer
2.teach “menu”
T:We say much food. Now I feel hungry and thirsty. Are you hungry and thirsty?There are many kinds of food and drinks in the restaurant. Do you want to go with me ?let’s go to the restaurant. There’s a menu in the restaurant.
*explain the word,read and spell the word,read the word one by one
T:look!There’re some food and drinks in this menu.(put the pictures on the blackboard and Ss read the food and drinks)
3.learn “dollar”and“cent”
T:OK,I want a hamburger and a cola .How much is it?(point to the “¥”and the food)Do you remember how to read it?…It reads “dollar”,and it means “美元”.and “cent”……
*read and spell the word
*T asks , Ss answer
*Let a S point to the food on the blackboard and ask,the other Ss answer
4. Pair works:“waiter and customer”(make the dialogues)
Practice the key sentences
T: I’m the waiter. Who wants to be my customer?(T give a demonstration)It’s time to practice the sentences in pairs. Suppose you are in the restaurant and going to have a meal. Then make a dialogue. ok? I’ll give you two minutes. Go!
(Let the Ss perform the dialogues)
Step 3 Consolidation(8 minutes)
*read the words and sentence
T:Let’s stop here. Everyone make a good dialogue. Now, read after me.

T: Do you feel like a game now?…listen carefully to the instruction. ……
5个同学当顾客,一个同学当服务生,当服务生问:“What do you want to eat/drink?”一个接一个顾客回答“I want…”(不能重复食物或饮料)当顾客说完,服务生必须马上把正确的食物卡片放到各个顾客的手里,并说:“here’s your…”,如果顾客说到相同的食物或服务生拿错食物就是出局,并接受老师的提问并表演动作。
