A painting creativity journal is a collection of the ideas that you have and things that inspire you. It’s a place to record ideas that you can’t use immediately—you may think you’ll remember them, but one can’t remember everything, so it’s better to make a quick note and put it into your painting creativity journal.
A painting creativity journal helps you organize your ideas, as you’re keeping them in one spot. It is a great source of inspiration to you when you haven’t got an idea for a painting that appeals to you, when you begin to worry you might be losing your creativity. If you date your items, it’s a way of keeping track of your artistic development, and seeing how your ideas have produced and expanded.
There is no right or wrong format or rules about how to make a painting creativity journal. You might like to use a handmade journal or you may want to use a cheap notebook. However, think about what art materials you might use in your journal if you’re going to make a quick drawing directly into it – will it be a pencil, a pen, or watercolor—and get a journal with paper that’s suitable for this.
Then , what should be put into a painting creativity journal? Well, it can contain the titles of paintings by other artists you enjoyed, articles or photographs you’ve torn from the newspaper or magazines, a list of the paintings you’ve done with your brief analysis, or the technical aspects of your paintings. Overall, anything that inspires you can be put into your painting creativity journal.

A. It is really worth referring to. B. It isn’t very difficult to collect.

Nine years ago, a few days before Christmas, I was a director at a company in San Francisco, and I was called into a meeting that was already in progress. That meeting turned out to be my exit interview. I was 64 years old at the time. It wasn’t completely unexpected. I signed a pile of papers and left the company.
So, 40 plus years of employment was over. I had a good reputation and background. Retirement was not a choice for me. I wanted to do something. And then an idea came into my mind, born from my concern for our environment. I wanted to build my own business, designing and manufacturing biodegradable packaging from waste. This is called clean technology, and it was really meaningful to me. It could help reduce billions of pounds of single-use plastic packaging wasted each year.
Five years later, I’m enraptured and proud to share with you that our income has doubled every year and we have no debt. Meanwhile, I have a wonderful partner, and we’ve won more than 20 awards for the work that we’ve done.
And I am doing the most rewarding and meaningful work of my life right now. But what I really long for is to find other first-time entrepreneurs(企业家) who are my age. I want to connect with them.
So I want to do something about that in a few years . I want us to start talking more about people who don’t become entrepreneurs until they are seniors. And then connecting all of them across industries, regions and countries—building a community.

There are many old-time words silently hiding in the pages of the dictionary. Words such as “skedaddle” and “fuddy-duddy” come to mind. But according to research, the next words to go extinct may be hiding in the place that we can see every day. Scientists from the University of Reading looked at the lifecycle of words to determine the next group most likely to go extinct.
“Fifty percent of the words we use today wouldn’t be recognized by our ancestors living 2,500 years ago,” explained Mark Pagel, a scientist studying languages. “ If a time traveler came to us, and told us he wanted to go back to that period, we could arm him with the appropriate(适当的) phrase book, and hopefully keep him out of trouble.” It’s only logical that plenty of even the most common words we use today will die out in years to come.
So which words are on the list next? First is “dirty”. “Based on our statistics, the next word to go under is ‘dirty’, sometime in the next 750 years. It has the most rapid rate of evolution of all of the words we studied,” Pagel said. “Then people will use a new sound for the concept of dirty. They’ll point to a dirty floor and use a new sound to describe it.”
Adjectives like dirty and adverbs evolve quickly, which makes them very likely to die out. Other quickly evolving words are conjunctions and prepositions, like “and”, “but’, “on” and “against”. The words with the most staying power are numerals and nouns. After dirty, other words include “throw”, “stick”, “guts”, and “squeeze”would be replaced. Pagel believed these words could be completely replaced within 1,000 years. The researchers also applied the theory of evolution through natural selection to the languages, and used the IBM supercomputer to deal with the numbers.
32.What kind of words will disappear according to Paragraph 1?
A. Words people seldom use.
B. Words people use every day.
C. Words which have no exact meanings.
D. Words which are difficult to remember.
33. What does Mark Pagel try to show in Paragraph 2 ?
A. It is reasonable for many common words to disappear.
B. It is hard for some people to communicate with others.
C. We only need limited words to communicate with others.
D. It is impossible for us to communicate with our ancestors.
34. What do we know about the word “dirty”?
A. The meaning of it will change.
B. It is believed to disappear in the future.
C. More people have stopped using it recently.
D. It can’t describe certain situations correctly.
35. What kind of words will disappear more slowly than other words?
A. Prepositions. B. Adjectives. C. Nouns. D. Conjunctions.
