第一节(共15小题;每小题2分,满分30分)
A
In
China,
Major
Cold
(大寒)
is
the
last
solar
term
in
winter
and
also
the
last
solar
term
in
the
annual
lunar(阴历的)
calendar.
In
this
period,
snow,
rain
and
icy
cold
weather
have
a
big
influence
on
people’s
lives.
Here
are
several
things
you
should
know
about
Major
Cold.
Eating
“dispelling
cold
cake”
(吃“消寒糕”)
During
Major
Cold,
people
in
Beijing
have
a
habit
of
eating
“dispelling
cold
cake”,
a
kind
of
rice
cake.
Sticky
rice,
the
cake’s
main
ingredient,
contains
more
sugar
than
rice,
which
can
make
people
feel
warm
all
over
their
bodies.
In
Chinese
the
word
“rice
cake”
has
the
same
pronunciation
with
the
word
“higher
in
a
new
year”,
which
symbolizes
good
luck
and
continual
promotion.
Eating
fried
spring
roll(吃春卷)
In
Anqing
of
Anhui
province,
people
traditionally
eat
fried
spring
rolls
during
Major
Cold.
They
use
a
round,
cooked,
thin
pancake
to
wrap
stuffing(馅料)in
a
thin
roll.
Then
it
is
fried
in
a
pan
with
oil
until
it
turns
yellow
and
floats
to
the
top.
The
stuffing
inside
the
spring
roll
contains
meat
or
vegetables
and
the
flavor
can
be
salty
or
sweet.
Drinking
stewed
soup
People
in
Nanjing
of
Jiangsu
province
like
to
drink
stewed
soup
during
Major
Cold,
which
can
make
people
feel
warm
from
head
to
foot.
They
always
stew
the
aged
hen
soup
with
ginseng(人参),
matrimony
vine(枸杞)
and
black
fungus(黑木耳).
Doing
winter
sports
There
is
a
saying
that
goes,
“Dripping
water
freezes
during
Minor
and
Major
Cold.”
In
various
regions
of
China,
Major
Cold
is
the
perfect
time
for
winter
sports
such
as
skiing,
ice
skating
and
sledding.
21.

the
following
food
can
cause
people
to
feel
warm
in
the
cold
winter
A.
Stewed
soup

C.
you
can
be
lucky
if
you
eat
“dispelling
cold
cake”.

you
can
go
skiing
in
north
China.
B
Sometimes
people
come
into
your
life
and
you
know
at
once
that
they
were
sure
to
be
there.
They
serve
some
sort
of
on
purpose,
teach
you
a
lesson
or
help
find
out
who
you
are
or
who
you
want
to
become.
You
never
know
who
these
people
may
be:
your
classmate,
neighbor,
teacher,
long-lost
friend
or
even
a
real
stranger.
But
you
know
that
every
moment
they
will
affect
your
life
in
some
serious
way.
Sometimes
things
happen
to
you.
At
the
time
they
may
seem
terrible,
painful
and
unfair.
But
later
you
realize
that
without
getting
over
those
difficulties
you
would
have
never
realized
your
further
ability
and
strength.
Everything
happens
for
a
reason
and
nothing
happens
by
chance
or
with
good
or
bad
luck.
The
people
you
meet
affect
your
life,
and
the
successes
and
failures(失败)
you
experience,
create
who
you
are.
Even
the
bad
experiences
can
be
learned
from.
In
fact,
they
are
probably
the
most
poignant
and
important
ones.
Enjoy
every
day
even
every
moment
and
take
from
it
everything
that
you
possibly
can,
for
you
may
never
be
able
to
experience
it
again.
Talk
to
people
you
have
never
talked
to
before,
and
really
listen.
You
should
set
your
sights
high,
hold
your
head
up,
tell
yourself
you
are
a
great
one
and
believe
in
yourself.
You
can
make
your
life
anything
you
wish.
Create
your
own
life
and
then
go
out
and
live
it.

won't
become
our
neighbor
D.

change
us
in
some
way

realize
our
further
ability
C.
find
no
serious
success
D.
possibly
enjoy
every
moment
26.
The
writer's
advice
is
that
we
should
________.
A.
never
talk
to
strange
people
B.
learn
as
much
as
we
can
each
day
C.
get
over
difficulties
painfully
D.
not

others
27.
Which
is
the
best
title
for
the
passage
A.
Create
Your
Own
Life
B.
Hold
Your
Head
Up
C.
People
You

in
Life
D.
Things
Happen
to
You
C
Have
you
ever
heard
of
agritourism
where
you
can
experience
farm
life
If
not,
Dr.
Cindy
Ayers-Elliott
will
tell
you
the
real
story
of
Foot
Print
Farms.
The
original
concept
of
building
Foot
Print
Farms
was
simple.
When
Ayers-Elliott
returned
to
her
hometown
after
graduation,she
didn'
t
have
to
look
any
further
than
her
state'
s
alarming
health
statistics
to
find
a
mission.
Everywhere
she
turned,
there
were
reports
of
high
blood
pressure,
diabetes,
obesity
and
heart
disease.
“The
problem
was
already
identified."
explains
Ayers-Elliott.
“Too
many
Mississippians
were
seriously
unhealthy
and
it
didn’t
take
research
to
see
that.
And
many
of
the
state'
s
greatest
health
challenges
could
directly
result
from
poor
diet.
”
These
days,Foot
Print
Farms,
which
started
with
a
few
raised
beds
of
herbs
and
vegetables,
is
making
fresh,
naturally
grown
food.
"When
speaking
of
the
key
to
my
success,the
co-op
model
works
because
we
share
the
work
and
rewards,”
notes
Ayers-Elliott.
“
A
perfect
example
is
the
Wingfield
High
School
football
team.
To
earn
the
money
for
equipment
and
other
items,
players
committed
to
working
five
hours
a
week
on
the
farm,and
by
the
end
of
the
summer
they
had
produced
1,000
melons
and
the
profits
from
their
sales
helped
to
buy
weights,T-shirts,sweat
suits
and
pregame
meals.
But
the
lessons
they
learned
about
the
rewards
of
hard
work
and
working
together
to
accomplish
something
were
even
more
valuable
products
of
their
efforts.
”
"It'
s
a
model
that
can
easily
be
learned
in
other
places
and
I'
m
looking
forward
to
seeing
some
of
our
current
partners
do
just
that——to
take
what
they
have
learned
here
and
spin
it
off
in
other
communities,"Ayers-Elliott
remarks.
She
is
now
looking
forward
to
developing
an
agritourism
aspect
to
the
farm,
where
visitors
can
experience
farm
life,
learn
new
skills
and
take
with
them
seeds
of
inspiration
they
can
sow
in
their
own
communities
when
they
return
home.

We
can
video
chat
with
astronauts
aboard
the
International
Space
Station
and
watch
live
footage
from
the
frozen
heights
of
Everest.
But
communicating
with
a
submarine
(潜艇)or
a
diver
is
not
so
easy.
The
lack
of
practical
methods
for
sharing
data
between
underwater
and
airborne
devices
has
long
been
a
frustration
for
scientists.
The
difficulty
stems
from
the
fact
that
radio
signals
work
perfectly
in
air
travel
but
poorly
in
water.
Sonar
(声呐)signals
used
by
underwater
sensors
reflect
off
the
surface
of
the
water
rather
than
reaching
the
air.
Now,researchers
at
MIT
have
developed
a
method
with
the
potential
to
revolutionize
underwater
communication.
“What
we’ve
shown
is
that
it’s
actually
feasible
to
communicate
from
underwater
to
the
air,"
says
Fadel
Adib,a
professor
at
MJT’
s
Media
Lab,who
led
the
research.
The
MIT
researchers
designed
a
system
that
uses
an
underwater
machine
to
send
sonar
signals
to
the
surface,
making
vibrations
(震动)corresponding
to
the
ls
and
Os
of
the
data.
A
surface
receiver
then
reads
and
decodes
these
tiny
vibrations.
The
researchers
call
the
system
TARF.
It
has
any
number
of
potential
real-world
uses,
Adib
says.
It
could
be
used
to
find
downed
planes
underwater
by
reading
signals
from
sonar
devices
in
a
plane'
s
black
box
and
it
could
allow
submarines
to
communicate
with
the
surface.
Right
now
the
technology
is
low-resolution.
The
initial
study
was
conducted
in
the
MIT
swimming
pool
at
maximum
depths
of
around
11
or
12
feet.
The
next
steps
for
the
researchers
are
to
see
if
TARF
is
workable
at
much
greater
depths
and
under
varying
conditions—high
waves,
storms,
schools
of
fish.
They
also
want
to
see
if
they
can
make
the
technology
work
in
the
other
direction—
air
to
water.
If
the
technology
proves
successful
in
real-world
conditions,
expect
“texting
while
diving”
to
be
the
latest
underwater
fashion.
