We can use the following two sentence structures to express our regret.
Hurry up!
Be careful!
Come in and take a seat.
Our city has experienced great changes.
I don't know anything about the accident.
What a splendid palace!
If I were you, I would choose to work in a small town.
If the weather were fine now, we would have a picnic.
If I were to do the job, I would do it in a different way.
If we should come tomorrow, we could meet the general manager.
P2)Without the new paints and the new technique, we would not be able to see the many great masterpieces for which this period is famous.
P3)There are scores of modern art styles, but without the Impressionist, many of these painting styles might not exist.
But for your help, I wouldn't have made such great progress.
If I were you, I would have chosen to take the job.
If it had rained last night, it would be very cold today.
Were I at school again, I would study harder.
Should there be an earthquake, what should we do?
Were it not for your help, I would never be a good boss.
Had it not been for you, I would have lost my way.
