Module 6 Around town 知识点、语法点及习题
1. across
介词：穿过，越过。
辨析：across ，through ，over
Across 表示“从物体的表面穿过”，常搭配的词有street，road，river等
Through 表示“从立体空间穿过”，常搭配的词有city，forest，park，channel，window
Over 表示“从某物的上方越过”，如jump over the wall 跳过那堵墙
注意： cross 作动词，意为“穿过，越过”，它和 go /walk across 是同义表达，注意cross是动词，across是介词。
Be careful when you cross the street .过马路的时候要当心一点。

2. opposite
介词：在……的对面
拓展，常见的表示方位的介词或介词短语有：
Along 沿着
Across 越过
Opposite 在……对面
Past 路过，经过

On the left of 在…… 左边
On the right of 在……右边

数词：第三
注意： third 是表示“第三”，是序数词，对应的基数词是three
拓展; 常见的序数词有
（1）1-3的序数词需要单独记忆
First ,second ,third
(2)4-19 的序数词要在基数词后面加上th .
Fourth ,fifth , sixth, seventh ,eighth , ninth , tenth . eleventh , twelfth ,thirteenth , fourteenth
, fifteenth ,sixteenth ,seventeenth , eighteenth ,nineteenth
(3.)5,8,9,12的序数词的形式有变化
(4) 20-90中“几十几” 的序数词只把个位改为序数词

(5) 整十的变化，把ty 变 tie + th
Twentieth , thirtieth , fortieth, fiftieth , sixtieth , seventieth ,eightieth ,ninetieth

顺口溜： “一二三”特殊记，“th ”从 “四”加起，怎么加？ 很容易 ，八去 “t”,九去“e”, “f” 来把“ve”替 。“ty”改为“tie”,若是遇到“几十几”，只变个位就可以。

名词： 地铁
拓展： underground 还可以作为形容词，意为“地下的”
This is an underground shopping mall .这是一个地下购物中心。
固定搭配; take an/ the underground 乘地铁
Underground station 地铁站
By underground 乘地铁
注意： take a underground 和 by underground 都表示“乘地铁”，但前者是动词短语，后者是介词短语，注意by underground 短语中， underground 前不加任何冠词。含有这两个短语的句子可以进行同义句转化。
We can take an / the underground to go there .
= We can go there by underground .

动词：换方向，转向
拓展：turn 还可以作系动词，意为“变得”，后跟形容词作表语。

固定搭配：
Turn left 左拐 turn up 开大，调高
Turn right 右拐 turn down 开小，调低
Turn on 打开 turn in 上交
Turn off 关闭 turn into 变成，成为

短语：表示“去……的路上”，后跟副词时省略 to
拓展： on ones way to 在某人去……的路上

9. Famous
形容词： 著名的，和 well – known
辨析：be famous for 和 be famous as 的区别
be famous for 表示“因……而出名”。For后面接出名的原因
Be famous as 表示“以……身份而著名”。As 后接职业、身份或地位
Einstein was famous as a great scientist .爱因斯坦作为一位伟大的科学家而闻名。
The area is famous for green tea. 这个地区以绿茶而出名。

辨析：between 和 among

finish：动词：结束，完成
拓展： finish doing sth 意为“结束做某事”，finish 后若跟动词，只能跟动名词。
