一、教学目标
能够听懂、会说有关询问和回答天气状况的功能句。

二、学情分析
经过统计,我所教的二(3)班学生,约有45名左右的学生学过并能流利的说出本课功能句What’s the weather like today?如单独对话表演句型对他们会显得比较枯燥,而对于没有学过本句型的孩子,要让他们以感兴趣的方式多输出从而提高学习效率;结合低年级的学生处于精力充沛、容易兴奋的学习阶段,他们爱模仿、爱表演,因此教师最终把游戏以两人结对的方式表演出来。综上考虑,将改编歌曲教给学生进行游戏表演可以兼顾不同层次的学生并且可以更有效的进行句型输出。
三、新设计
教材改编:
由于在第一课时教师已经将各种天气的动作编给孩子以方便巩固记忆,因此B项活动操作起来不再有意义,结合低年级孩子喜欢唱歌学英语的性格特点,教师在优酷视频里找到一首非常适合孩子操练本单元功能句型的歌曲并适当进行改编,以接龙游戏的方式让学生边唱边玩儿,在游戏中有效的操练了句型。
四、重点难点
教学重点:
学习有关询问和回答天气状况的功能句。
教学难点:
难点:使用“What’s the weather like today? It’s...”与同学进行情景会话,并根据天气情况在教师指导下说出Let’s go and...以及功能句在日常生活中的应用。
五、教学过程
1. Warming up and revision
(1) Let’s sing a song together.
(2) TPR: sunny, windy, snowy, rainy, cloudy, umbrella.
(3) Game: Sharp eyes and ears.
Watch the pictures or listen to the voice carefully, and say the words.
2. Leading in
(1) Show a video of weather report and lead to the topic: Weather
T: What does this video talk about?
S: Weather.
T: Great! It’s a weather report.
(2) Use the card game to present the new sentences.
T: Look, now I have some pictures. Can you tell me what the weather is today?
3. Learning
(1) Present the sentence pattern:
--What’s the weather like today?
--It’s …
(2) Teacher makes a new song to practice this dialogue.
T: Let’s clap our hands together and sing this song.
Students sing the together according to the teacher’s body language; use the chain game to practice this song.
(3) Teacher shows different weather pictures on PPT, and ask students:
T: What’s the weather like today?
Students: It’s sunny/windy/cloudy/rainy/snowy.
Boys: What’s the weather like today?
Girls: It’s sunny/windy/cloudy/rainy/snowy.
(4) Team work
T: Practice with your partner. Try to use this sentence patterns. I’ll give you 1 minute to prepare.
Students practice with their partner.
After 1 minute, students show their dialogue with their pictures.
4. Look, listen and repeat
(1) T: Please turn to page 13. Let’s share a story of Bill. Read the dialogue after the radio.
(2) Teacher read the dialogue and teach the key point.
(3) Translate the dialogue and explain the culture difference between China and western countries.
(4) Review the activities we have learned in Unit 1. Make up new dialogue.
(5) Role play
