Unit 3 Story Time
指导思想与理论依据：
遵循《英语课程标准》的基本理念：英语课程强调学习过程，重视语言学习的实践性和应用性。主张学生在语境中接触、体验和理解真实语言，并在此基础上学习和运用语言。同时还倡导教学要面向全体学生，关注语言学习者的不同特点和个体差异。因此，在本课教学中，注重为学生创设实际生活中的语境，启发学生观察，思考，分析，表达，复习和运用所学知识。以学生的主体性、实践性为本，增加学习兴趣，培养其语言表达和情感表达能力。
教学内容分析：
通过小故事的呈现，让学生感受和了解中国小学生的生活侧面，懂得思考如何安排自己的学生生活。
学生分析：
1. 学生的相关生活经验：“课后活动”与学生的学习、生活紧密相关。大多数学生都在课后不同程度的参加校内外组织的课后活动。学生积累了相关的生活经验。
2. 学生的年龄、性格特点，兴趣爱好、认知风格：三年级的学生喜欢新鲜的事物，对发生在自己身边的事物产生浓厚的兴趣。求知欲强，能就感兴趣的话题与同伴进行交流。
教学目标：
1. 能够借助图片读懂本单元的小故事，并在教师的指导下进行表演。
2. 能够通过学习小故事，了解中国小学生的生活侧面，思考如何安排自己的学习生活。
3. 感受丰富多彩的课外生活。
教学重点：
1. 能够借助图片读懂Story Time的小故事，并在教师的指导下进行表演。
2. 培养学生阅读策略,提高阅读兴趣。
教学难点：
表演和续写小故事，并能合理安排自己的课外生活。
教学过程：
一、Step1: Warming up
1. Greet each other.
2. Sing a song.
3. Review some words and sentences about after school activities.
Have the students watch the video and sing the song about after school activities and do the actions to the music.
让孩子们看视频唱有课后活动的歌曲，并且随着音乐做动作。
【设计意图】借助视频和图片复习以前学过短语和句型，为新课的学习做铺垫。
二、Step2: Presentation
1. Have the students guess the story.
T: After school we can do all kinds of things. This class we will learn a story about after school activities. Look, this is a handsome boy. Guess! What’s the boy going to do after school? Is he going to…?
【设计意图】让学生去猜测今天要讲的故事，活跃课堂气氛，激发学生的学习兴趣，发展他们的猜测思维。
2. Listen and answer.
Answer the question and then learn new words.
T: What is he going to do after school?
Ss: He is going to …
T: He’s going to play …, so he’s going to get his bat.
What’s he going to get with picture 2?
He is going to get colored pens.
Learn bat and colored pens.
【设计意图】通过听录音锻炼孩子们的听力，同时回答老师提出的问题，并结合自己对课文的猜测对课文有个更进一步的认识，提高了学生的注意力。
3. Look and say.
T: What can the boy see?
Ss: Two boys with football, dancing boy and girl, a boy with a chess.
T: What happen with them? What’s the boy say?

【设计意图】鼓励孩子们交流和合作，培养学生的发散思维能力。
4. Guess and talk. Then practice in pairs.
Guess, what happened next? Talk in your groups, then report.

【设计意图】让孩子们快速阅读故事，理清故事的脉络，培养孩子们的阅读技巧。操练句型，为下文的学习做铺垫，培养合作学习能力。
5. Watch and answer.
Show the last picture. Is he happy? Why do you think so?
Watch the video. Then answer the question.
Have the students watch the video to understand the question.
T: The boy is tired, he does all of things. Don’t do it like this.
【设计意图】让学生观看故事的视频,检查和改正自己提取的信息，进一步去理解故事。
三、Step3: Read, practice and act
6. Read the story.
Have the students read the story after the video.
【设计意图】让学生读故事，体会原汁原味的英语，模仿语音语调。
7. Do exercise. Number
Show the pictures to help the students to understand the story.
【设计意图】加深对课文的理解，理清故事发展的先后顺序。
8. Have the students read the book in groups then act.
Have the students play the story in groups.
【设计意图】让学生以小组为单位，表演故事。让孩子们在表演故事中感知语言和体验语言。
四、Step4: Summary

【设计意图】提出问题让学生思考：如果你是文中的男孩你应该怎么做？让学生续写短文。
10. Let’s share.
你是怎么安排你的学生生活的，你平时都做什么，你喜欢做这些事情吗？你能给大家展示一下吗？
【设计意图】激发学生结合自己课后活动的实际进行语言汇报。每个学生根据自身的语言水平进行的个性化的汇报展示，语言进行分层评价。
五、Step5: Homework
